Small portions over priced and the wait is incredibly long. Oh and not to mention they forget the chicken wings so a further 30 minutes wait occurred. The food tastes good but the chap seems clueless

Good food and good service

Service is a bit sloww.. but the food is really really good. Always served fresh!!!

Can't fault it really, it's not Nando's but a good cheaper alternative. The African ambience is spot-on with African artwork and Afrobeat music playing in the background. Friendly service and decent food. The 1-star reviews seem malicious and fake to me.

Unfortunately I'd give it a zero if I could - and it takes a lot for me to say that!We were passing the town and thought we would be adventurous and try Piri Piri. They need to change their name because there was nothing Piri about it. For someone with a pallate like myself, who eats very little spicy food, I could taste absolutely nothing. I have read another review that mentions watered down nandos- that's a generous understatement! The rice was a tasteless mush, the chicken was hard and dry, once again tasteless, and the corn on cob was burnt, and once again, tasteless. Everything had their 'Peri Sauce' marinade on it, which tastes like water with red colouring in it, so badly deceiving! My partner who manages to eat foods much spicier than myself, was equally, if not more disappointed.I am sorry to have to leave this review, but I have never felt so dissatisfied or experienced food so tasteless. It's a real shame because I was looking forward to trying something new when passing. To be fair, I guess the 1 star can be for the cans of pop, which were really nice and cold out of the refrigerator and were enjoyable.

Awful customer service from a fat young chap. Felt like he was doing us a favour coming to his establishment. Horrible attitude. The food was stale and awful. The size of the wings were like the size of a baby’s hand. Literally nothing to eat on them. I honestly felt I made a mistake and should have walked away when the fat chap was giving us the terrible service. Never again, never in a million years!!

Food was ok, like a soggy nandos but the service really let us down. Rude waitress kept bringing us kitchen roll when we asked for tissues ( i showed her what i wanted) and chucking it on the table. She was also very lazy and passive aggressive. They dont even give u the option to customise your meal at all (lazy staff).

Wow, the prawns are sensational . Worth the wait. If you want proper piri piri then come to this place. A word of warning though be prepared to wait as all food is cooked fresh to order, great food takes time. Will be back for sure.

Wait for the food is worst bit..nice and warm place .chicken was nicely done and chips were good. The sauce had no taste to it

The best piri piri chicken. But you need to know a few things about the food and place. Its a place run by a couple which usually get everything ready after you place the order which then means it takes sometime to get the good. Now off course there is no match for the fresh ingredients but if you are in a rush, probably its best to choose another place.I would also like to mention that its a traditional recipe place and its cooked in a style which is from the olden age. So if you fancy golden looking processed chicken which is actually steamed and only grilled for a few mins then this place is probably not for u.I have tried to be as honest and brief as possible to help anyone decide.
