The Clarence in Oldham

Reasonable food. A bit slow considering we were booked in at 12 noon and it was quiet at that point. Decent space between tables and todler friendly. Guinness was spot on temperature.

Popped in for lunch after an early morning walk around Dovestone reservoir, not many customers at this hour but a decent menu served by friendly staff. The rag pudding went down well with a pint of lager!

Very busy. Food coming past looks appetising and nicely presented. Misjudged the walk time and arrived early. The Taylors Landlord is going down well. Later: we ate well and can now fully appreciate how popular The Clarence is. Menu changing next week, who needs a better excuse to visit again? Staff are a good team, friendly and efficient, making sure things run smoothly. Well done everyone and thank you for an enjoyable afternoon.

Had a lovely meal on Christmas Eve, fish and chips which freshly cooked, hot and served well. Although the pub was busy there was a good atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed it.

Lovely home made pate starter & delicious Sunday roast. Cosy atmosphere, staff very attentive & dog friendly as a plus if you are going for a nice walk around the beautiful Dovestone reservoir!

The Clarence is one of the best pubs I've been too.Not just the ideal location near the stunning Dovestones reservoir, but the choice and quality of the food is amazing.Staff always very friendly.I've been here lots of times now and I aways try and leave gaps in my working week to visit.They have a huge selection of different foods and all that I've tried I've loved.Try the rag pudding wow.

Really accommodating staff. Great food. Honestly the quality and portion size was superb. The choice was superb. Great pub. Highly recommended and I will be visiting again.

We visited a couple of times while staying in the area, great pub with a good selection of drinks and a food menu with some usual pub food and something a bit different too. Family and dog friendly inside and out. Dog bowl and fresh water provided on arrival too.
