Came in today for a drink after a walk as I don't live local it was close to we're I parked, its such a beautiful pub, unfortunately let down, was so quiet and somebody left to look after a place who hasn't worked in the hospitality industry before.... Toilets were disgusting, haven't even been cleaned up since the night before, bin full, toilets not clean and 2of 3 toilets flooded with either wee or water everywhere, very disappointing and disgusted for such a loverly place!..

Very nice and cosy little pub. The food was good and not expensive at all. The owners and the bartender were so friendly and welcoming. We will be back.

We stayed here whilst walking the Pennine Way, getting the bus service down from Burn Clough. We stayed overnight and found the rooms to be immaculate, well fitted out, and quiet. The chef was ill the night we stayed, so I cannot comment on the food, but the manager let us buy fish and chips from across the road to eat in the pub. The full English breakfast was served from 8 o'clock, and it was superb. Finally, the manager gave a lift when we had finished packing our bags in the morning. It seemed like nothing was too much trouble, and he wanted to make sure we had a pleasant stay.

Always good beers and properly served spirits. Had some food today and simple but very tasty. Staff are great and look after every need.

My partner and myself have just returned from a fantastic 2 course meal at this little treasure of a pub. The 3 for £10 starters were presented beautifully and were delicious, and our main courses were equally impressive. The portions were extremely generous, the landlord and the young lady on the bar were extremely friendly and helpful, the chef was lovely and everything was just perfect. One of the best meals out we've had for a long time!

Beautiful decor, warm and friendly atmosphere. Good drinks selection and very inexpensive for soft drinks. Usually do food but didn't eat there this time. Staff were friendly and attentive. Large car park, nice outdoor seating area.

First time visiting. Only stayed for one drink so didn't see much of the pub. Outside looked lovely and inviting which attracted us. Inside was warm and just as inviting. Staff were very friendly. Know they do food but not sure what times. Planning on visiting again and eating next time.
