What a lovely place . Great for small meals for pensioners. Hate big meals and this was just right.. slice of rag pudding few chips and peas still room for toffee pudding

Cosy bar with a world record number of gins. Landlord & Bolt handpull beers with the usual San Miguel lager, Aspall cider. Separate restaurant (didn't eat there). Has a large beer garden with a covered section. Staff are excellent. It's very expensive!

We were on the first sitting on Christmas day. Everything run to time and the restaurant was very clean and Covid aware. The staff were fantastic. Really looked after us. Last, but not least, the food was excellent. Great traditional Christmas choices - or not - if you wanted something different. A really enjoyable occasion.

Staff here are first class, food excellent. Traditional pub feel, and homely atmosphere. Rooms are nice, ready for a freshen up paint wise, but this is only just a comment, not a factor that would spoil your stay.

Last Saturday we had a family Christmas meal here - 38 people ranging from under 12 months to over ninety. The food was excellent and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating, really professional. Would highly recommend The Old Bell for a family gathering.

Lovely warm welcoming pub, the food was a mixed review.- we had the soup and party and all really enjoyed- hubby had sea bass and tagliatelle and loved it- me and my MIL had the lamb roast and it was disappointing, the lamb was a little chewy, mash gloupy, and the gravy was Bisto (why I don't know as it's easy to make gravy with meat juices)- son had chicken bites said they was fine- dessert we had sticky toffee pud x3 and a cheesecake, all really niceHowever hubby wasn't full... and got more food at home.Staff - slow, unattentive, and didn't seem to listen. 3 times my son asked for ketchup, it never came... he even got up himself and asked and waited at the bar for it, at which point he had almost finished his meal. Drinks very slow, overall service very slow. One lady seemed to be working very hard and not so much the rest.Cost was £120 in total (no alcoholic drinks)Music questionable? R&B, hiphop and the odd random golden oldie - I like that music, however pubs should cater to all.
