The Old Original Inn in Oldham

My 1st time here the other evening and it won’t be my last. The staff are lovely and the food was great. Only thing different I’d suggest the garlic mushrooms to be breaded rather than battered, bit too sickly. The Garlic dip was awesome.

Such a lovely little pub!Great menu and great food.Throughly enjoyed, will be back again.Staff were very attentive and lovely.Only issue is parking, but easily rectified if you get there early

We chose this pub because its out of town and high up in the hills on the edge of Oldham.The weather was wet and wild outside and made a nice cozy hide away to enjoy a nice afternoon for some drinks and chat.It did get busy and a good number of people were in there, but it was a Sunday afternoon.The atmosphere was lively and had lots of character of the buildings past.Well worth a visit.

If you want authentic locally sourced 'pub grub' then this definitely is the place to go.The place is up in the hills and on entry you'll notice the old fashioned, authentic surroundings. It's very warm, lit by a woodburning fire has great beer, friendly service and delicious food.We'll be back thats for sure.Ps here's a tip.. Parking is a nightmare!! The car park is very small and surroundings are quite restricted due to residential housing and hills, expect your car to get dirty and don't drive up your brand new whip

Gorgeous views and spectacular food. Friendly atmosphere, well worth a visit.

Lovely old traditional country pub, we sat looking at a view as far as the Light Peak District. The service was excellent, not too formal or intrusive. The food was fantastic! Perfectly cooked and definitely freshly cooked on site. Then the bill, "very" reasonable. I will make it a regular.

Great pub. What I would call a woody pub. You know, old style, comfy, a log fire. A few real Ales on. Quite a few Gins. But, every table was laid out for food. Probably more of a restaurant now. Don't think I would be too relaxed just coming in for a drink. Maybe different during the day. The ale I had was spot on. If not driving would have had a few more. The food was very nice. Plenty of it and reasonably priced. Definitely going to try a steak here next time.

Absolutely beautiful little traditional 1700's pub with some wonderful ghost stories, surrounded by beautiful views over country side and hills and lovely walks through the local history.The food was outstanding from the fresh made soup and salads were fresh and delicious, and the mains were flavoursome and filling not to mention how reasonably priced it all is for such amazing quality.The staff were fantastic friendly and helpful over the phone and in person.Couldn't have asked for a better experience.Will definitely be back again soon.

Such a nice restaurant. Excellent food. Good beer and the service was with a smile. This is one to try and I will definitely be going back. Did I say just how good the steak 🥩 was. Perfect and a excellent sauce. Chips are hand made again perfect.

Just been here for a meal five of us the place and staff are nice and friendly and great value for money food worth a visit
