Nice outdoor area next to the canal. Lovely food at a reasonable price. We shared a starter, glad we did as there was lots of it. The mains were substantial as well. Definitely going back.

Pub chain, very busy lees pub. Served good which did not have but fellow customers said was just ‘ok’. I will try the food on the next visit whilst walking the canal 😎

Great burger, great flatbread! I was very pleasantly surprised with the standard of food here as I usually don’t get my hopes up for pub food when I don’t know the place. Credit to the kitchen team. Very fast service at the bar too, on what was a busy day. If we are ever passing again we would definitely pop in.

We have a lovely meal, it was pie night😋, steak pie was excellent and glass of wine included so what's to complain about. We went on a Tuesday night, could not believe how many were eating out midweek but shows you it must me OK.

There are a number of factors as to why this rating has 2 stars. Firstly the landlord, his attitude was awful. I take full responsibility that I had not read on the email that you were not to wear tracksuit bottoms and had not told my son. However this was a family meal with 3 generations of my family. How he spoke to my son was disrespectful as though he had come in to have a fight. We should have left at this stage.Secondly, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive. There was no explanation as to why and the waitresses and landlord were more interested in a birthday party that was going on rather than the rest of the diners.Thirdly, the food was substandard at best. My son had the Sunday roast and the potatoes were solid, clearly cooked from frozen and not done properly either. It was clear that some of the food had been waiting around in the kitchen as my wife’s Messy chips were cold and the meat was hard. I had steak and ale pie, my mum had cheese and onion pie. Her portion of pie was about a 1/6th of a plate, mine was about 1/8th of a plate. This shows that they were scrimping on the steak and ale pie. The chips that came with the pies were also frozen chips and were bland. In summary, this meal was not worth the money, the amount of time waiting for food was appalling and the landlord needs to be careful about prejudicing people based on what they wear. I will not be returning again.

Service was excellent. Friendly and quick. I had the homemade lasagne - delicious followed by apple crumble, also very tasty. JW Manchester lager was a good choice to accompany the meal.

Visited for a family meal as we have relatives in the area. The lounge/restaurant is quite pleasant and the staff friendly.Food offerings are pretty standard pub fare, delivered to an average level. Price point is maybe a little high for the quality.Bar is as expected from a Lees house, okay but nothing too exciting nor interesting.Nice enough place for a couple of drinks and a simple meal, if you're in the area.

Went here on Saturday for a meal with a few friends, and a good night was had by all. Meal's were nice and very filling, everyone enjoyed it. We even had an extra guest, who informed me less than 30 minutes before we were due to sit. Not a problem, just another seat at the top of the table. Absolutely brilliant, will b going again, I've no doubt about that
