Great atmosphere, busy but still friendly. Had a couple glasses of lovely wine and my hubby was happy with his Corona on draught. Met a lovely couple, great after a day walking on the canal.

Large family booking of 12 people on a busy Sunday and everything was brilliant. Great service , even when our numbers were constantly changing and late arrivals. Food delicious with good size portions , tasty and fresh. Thank you to all staff , very please with our visit , will definitely come again and recommend to others.

Went here for Valentines Night with a set menu, the starter and main course were amazing, the Camembert especially was presented beautifully and was just lush. The pudding of profiteroles slightly let it down, however the sorbet that came with it was very lovely. Really nice place and friendly staff.

I can't comment on the food. However, we had a table booked on Sunday I tried to call the restaurant 5 times to cancel as we tested positive for COVID, they didn't answer the phone. They also don't allow you to cancel online. They called me once, 30 minutes after my table was supposed to be booked for and I missed the call. They then attempted to take £40 out of my account for a no show. Due to this, I wouldn't recommend.Update:You attempted to take 2 amounts of £20. £20 + £20 = £40."All we ask is that you simply call" - I did 5 times. You may think it's unfair but that is the point of reviews, for people to review their experience. My experience was a 1 star. You don't provide a good experience, you don't get a good review.Goodbye.

A solid pub in a really lovely village. Deserves more visitors than the area gets. Pleasant surroundings. Pub has covered outdoor space; dog and child friendly; good atmosphere. Recommended.

Very disappointed, told to go to the marque as we were only having drinks. Asked if it was warm as we had a baby with us, told it was very warm. Unfortunately it was not warm and when they turned on the heaters it smelt of fumes, not safe for a baby. Ask to go inside but staff were incredibly rude and un accommodating, the marque was not safe due to the fumes.
