I ordered chips with my sea bass, it took three requests before I received the chips, by this time my company were half way through their meals.

First time we came here it was fantastic, came back again tonight and we are so disappointed. Horrendous service, waited ages to get served, waitress had an appalling attitude and face like thunder on her. I sent my food back because it was awful (cheese and onion pie that was more like scrambled egg) and the Fleetwood lunch (unlike last time) had cold bread and no butter. Asked for another drink when they came with the food and never came back with one. Last time we were here it was all the minor details that made our experience fantastic - attentive service, constantly checking things were okay, warm bread etc .... but this time there has been none of that and it was quieter this time than it was last time. 3 waitresses for 6 tables. Expected much more, very disappointed the woman we checked out with (who we assume was the Supervisor) was fantastic and did deal with our issues but the waitress who served us massively let the team down.

The waiting staff are lovely.Awful food, had the Fleetwood platter which consisted of about 8 briney soggy prawns, a 1” square of Smoked salmon, 1/3 a fillet of Mackeral fillet,a cube of poached salmon that about 1.5” cubed, a 1” size piece of Melba toast, 1 large teaspoon of Mackeral Pate (with the crunch of calcified bones presented alongside a large leafy green salad with a sugary dressing for £12!The mustard mayonnaise coleslaw was just a bland oily emulsion & the chips an odd texture that was neither crispy or soft. The Passion fruit cheesecake was just some fluffy lightly flavoured whipped cream creation, the base was quite good for texture but the smattering of Passion coulis & 3 chunks of Mango gave the only burst of actual flavour.I like cheesecake but that was almost pure cream, poor in texture & absent of any comfort food factor. The Latte was like a used coffee cup had been swilled out with hot water & milk, no full flavour but an odd bitterness and my friend had a ‘soapy’ tasting Flat white.. (sadly only photo as we were not of the mind to take the pics initially). We were asked how it was as they took the dishes away but they didn’t seem bothered which was why I wanted to leave some type of review.. the Fleetwood platter Ali’s being sold as a ‘main meal’ not a ‘light bite’ and as such is gutting for a hungry grown man but for an more mature customer with a much smaller appetite & larger wallet is probably just the thing.Neither of us will be returning to eat here again & cannot recommend it as value for money or as good quality produced food.Gutted as I am paying the bill for my friend as he was so let down & I had bigged it up from having had a previous good visit but quite a while since. It has been absolutely embarrassing & really disappointing

My husband and I visited Bannisters yesterday , Thursday 7th April , for lunch before we shopped there. We were SOOO impressed as soon as we walked in ! The greeting was efficient and friendly. The whole restaurant was spotlessly clean and as soon as people left tables they were cleared and cleaned very thoroughly. All the staff were happy ,friendly and worked very hard. I had the poached salmon open sandwich which was beautiful and very fresh . My husband had the cheese pie which he loved ! Thank you for your hard work and beautiful food ! Sue & Andyhad the cheese pie which he loved.had

Visited store today with Hubby & MIL . Lovely food & presentation , however MIL had small fish ,quite shocked when her meal came out as the fish was very small & more like a childrens meal . £9-95 overpriced for size of her meal tbh . Disappointed .

My wife and I visited Bannisters restaurant, inside Boundary Mill, yesterday, Monday the 4th of October (2021). We were greeted by a very friendly Maitre ‘d. A waitress then took us to our table & took our drinks order. We ordered the fish & chips which were delicious. The waitresses were all friendly and ALL wore face masks something that I feel is a must seeing as how we are still in the grip of Covid-19. The place was spotless, with tables cleared and sanitised as soon as they were vacated unlike some restaurants that leave the crockery on the table for ages. Well done to all at Bannisters restaurant.

Tiny portions and high prices. My fish and chips for 11.50 had 12 chips and a tiny portion of mushy peas. Then jam roly poly which was really overcooked and tough for 5.00. I'm not in a rush to go back. Prices didn't match the quality of the food we had. Very disappointing.

Extremely disappointed with the service received. Staff were rude and unfriendly at the point of waiting to be seated. We were spoken to rudely and treated like school children. We were marched to our table and left without a welcome or smile. I expected much more from our first experience here. When I ordered our waitress was brusque and condescending. .when I wanted to order an extra item she kept telling me I couldn't because it would cost extra (?!!) I said that was no problem but once the food arrived and the order was wrong I again told her what I had ordered and she again was very rude and told me off in a sharp voice that it wasn't part of the dish. I again told her I knew and had ordered it as an extra. The whole experience was awful and I came away not wanting to return. .. which is a shame because it looked lovely.
