China Express Takeaway in Pendle

I've tried a few Chinese Takeaway's and this one is absolutely spot on. I don't know what's happened in the past, but we've had nothing but excellent food every time we order. Got to agree with you Emma, the spare ribs are strange. 5*'s for everything else 🙂

Ordered salt n pepper combination and that included the ribs and this is s what we got I’m sorry but it’s appalling I’m sorry that is not even a full rib

I ordered beef chop suey - boiled rice and chicken wings .... The beef dish smelt off (a rancid smell) looked like it was an old prepared dish --------- rice was dried up and stuck together in clumps - wings were all dried up -- I rang to tell them about the state of the food and the guy on the phone said = "" I am not bothered, go to another shop"" He also shouted down the phone that he did not care and did not show any compassion that the food was OFF -- he also said "" all you want is a free meal""" ... I told him I did not want a free meal and all I wanted was a meal we could eat that was satisfactory ... he did not care my food was not right and did not offer to rectify the problem at all,,, he just kept shouting into the phone saying = """ YOU GOT WHAT YOU ORDERED""""" -- he kept talking over me and was not bothered that the meal was not adequate and it smelt OFF and was not prepared to resolve the matter ---- I have just wasted my money and not been able to eat the meal .... Will not get any food from them again ......... Very annoyed and disappointed ...... DISCUSTED --- and lost £15.50.................................

Just ordered from this place . We was in the kitchen when our food arived and didn't here door once being knocked .Came in living room were our 5 year old kid was playing with barely any clothes onAnd to our horror this Chinese ma was staring in at our child .I confronted the man and he as started mouthing off and jumped in his carAs he had left our food on the door stepThis is not behavior any adult male should be doing so please people be aware ov this NONCEY man and keep your kids safe .

Absolutely DISGUSTING!!! Not only does this place need reporting about food hygiene, but it also needs reporting about trading standards. Ordered from China Express' Barnoldwicks page, however upon arriving, was informed that the Facebook was incorrect and it was infact from Nelson. THIS PLACE!!! Contacted them via telephone due to being 20minutes away but they were extremely rude and stated that the food had already been prepared. Consequently we made the 20minute journey only to be told that our food hadn't been made and that it was about to be cooked but a refund was declined. Absolutely disgusting and it is quite clear they have fabricated a Facebook page to get more trade because otherwise they'd have NO CUSTOM!!!! AVOID. NOT EVEN WORTH THE 1 STAR RATING!!!!

Worst experience of my life by far.Ordered the food for my tea before I went to work, so expected it to be on time, it was a Tuesday, so didn't expect them to be busy. was over an hour and a half late, called them three times to check where it was and was told it was 5 minutes away.I then called to cancel my order as I needed to set off to work and there was no way i could possibly eat it in time, to which the lady on the phone was shouting and screaming at me, and then put the phone down on me.as I opened the door to go to work the takeaway arrived, so i told him i had cancelled my order and to take it back as i was that mad i refused to pay for it.my partner and I then proceeded to receive numerous calls and texts from the lady and I'm guessing her husband? with threats, abuse and im guessing more abuse (in Chinese), and told never to order from there again.DONT WORRY LOVE... WE WONT BE DOING!!!worst customer service I've ever received! she didn't even apologise once for being late! I'm appalled

Do not use!!! Food terrible no taste and all dried up! I went on Facebook to find China Express in Barnoldswick, it had the address and phone number for them so I followed the link made my order and paid my £55. I then got and email confirming my order and noticed the address was in Nelson, 10 miles away! As I was collecting it this was not what I wanted!I called the number on the Facebook page which was Barnoldswick they said it wasn’t them and not their page.I then got the number off the email and called Nelson (5 minutes had passed). They refused to discuss it and kept repeating your food is ready now you pick up!!We travelled the 10 miles to Nelson and asked for the Manager and was told he was out on deliveries so we took our food!It was the worst I had ever seen and all dried up and tasteless as well as by the time we got home cold!!We called China Express again in Barnoldswick to discuss with the manager who refused to talk to us but the lad who answered the phone was aware of the Facebook page and had in fact took many calls complaining of the same thing. Apparently Nelson have set this up so people think it’s Barnoldswick.I will never use again!!!!

The WORST takeaway I have ever had. I wouldn’t go here again even if it was the only restaurant open in Nelson.The food was abysmal. I ordered a mixed seafood dish which came and it was carrots and water. I rang and asked for a refund for the seafood dish only and they refused saying there was seafood in the dish and that supermarkets had no seafood! There were was 2-3 prawns at best and the whole dish was carrots. It’s ridiculous that they didn’t put an out of stock option on the dish or even opened at all if they don’t have the stock. If I wanted carrots and water I could have made that at home. Furious that my refund has been refused. It cost £18 in total AND IT TOOK WELL OVER TWO HOURS TO ARRIVE! Give me my money back for the seafood dish.

Ordered a Chinese last night, after 1 hour and 30 minutes I phoned up to be told it would be 10 minutes, no apology. Half an hour later still not arrived, My husband and I had gone past eating at 10pm so I phoned up to cancel the order to be told it will be 10 minutes, I explained 2 hours is unacceptable, he shouted at me that it is on its way, I said we will not be answering the door as going to bed and he shouted ‘’ You cannot ring for delivery anymore’’ I told him I wouldn’t be using them again. An apology would have been nice, nothing, just bad customer service.

Please do not order your food from Here !!! I spend £23 and I had to bin the lot ....the chips were dark brown and full of oil ..worsed chips I have ever tasted in my life !! Chicken in satay sauce were water with chill in it again horrendous ...crispy beef came with no sauce and tasted very dry again horrid ...we should of know by the un-inviting entrance it were full of muck... dead plants ,the door and windows were shocking .No wonder this place had a rating of 3 in my opinion it should be closed down ...enter at risk but I would advise against it !!!
