We had such a wonderful time at The Alma , stunning setting, the best food we have had in a long time, absolutely gorgeous dressed crab, just could not fault a thing! The manageres Amy and all of her team are so lovely, thank you so much, can't wait to get back! 😊

Well.... where do I start. Fantastic place to kick back and take in the views of rolling countryside with a drink on the patio. Had a Sunday roast after debating the menu for well over an hour and boy was I not disappointed!!!! Perfectly cooked beef which would have resulted in 6 🌟 if Google would allow it. 10/10 will recommend to anyone passing the area and hope to be back to sample more of the menu. Food was too good to stop and take a pic, oops :)

Table for two in restaurant by the window. Nice real fire.High standard of food. Friendly efficient service. Enjoyed the meal as a special occasion. Able to talk to each other.Beautiful situation in the landscape. It must be a great place to sit outside in warm weather.Several guests staying in the accommodation. Staff seemed competent in meeting their guests needs.

Great find , food was amazing and the setting is gorgeous. Customer service couldn’t have been better, definitely will return. Had the Sunday lunch , food was cooked really well and portions just right.

Husband and sons starters and main meals were wonderful. But I ordered the beetroot salad which was a tiny portion compared to the other starter sizes and to be honest pretty boring. Then their mains were also fabulous. My sea bass was cooked lovely but the roast potatoes were very dry and again the overall dish was quite bland. But I would still go there again because the other meals were amazing. I just chose badly and was disappointed.

Superb meal out for Mothers Day . 5 of us dined and all thought it was amazing . The service was perfect , so on point , helpful and friendly. The menu is amazing and the food is delicious, presented so well and the produce is quality. Starters included:mussels the best I’ve eaten , chicken livers;Thai chicken and soup. The roast pork and beef dinners were delicious as was the curry . Raspberry trifle to complete. It was definitely worth the hour plus drive to get there . The setting is gorgeous and tranquil . Best food I’ve had for ages. Definitely recommend and definitely go again and again . Thank you all Mothers loved it 😍

This is the second time eating here, both times the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Food was amazing! Lovely atmosphere & location. We had the grilled haddock & soup of the day from the lunch menu. Will definitely be back again soon👏🏻

What can I say apart from this place is a lovely little find! I booked direct with them and stayed in the double room (9) with the huge spa bath and its just heaven, and lovely views out of every window!I originally booked through booking.com but their own website had much better rates. The staff though I have to say are what made this place what is it. Nothing was too much trouble, Andy and Anyela especially were brilliant, but every member of staff is to be included in that I just don't have all their names!Lovely weekend recharge which was well needed... Food was great, and the breakfast aswell. Nothing whatsoever negative to say. Thanks again for a lovely stay! We will most definitely be back.

Superb. From the moment we entered to leaving. All the staff were more than helpful and caring. Always there and professional. Even a couple who were obviously shattered after a hard day's shift couldn't do enough. The food was exceptional and the room was so clean, warm and well presented.Cannot recommend this place enough. It's a lovely location with great views too. Loved it.
