Came for our 31st wedding anniversary. Barley mow treats their guests like royalty. Food was superb. Somewhat limited parking, but no problems. As a bonus they have vintage port which I adore. Had a brilliant relaxing overnight stay.

Great, dog friendly but very clean place!! Tables in/out doors. Good food with option for vegetarian. Rooms available for stay overnight if needed. Little playground for kids about 100 yard away. Definitely will go back 😃

We had a very nice experience at the barley mow. The atmosphere they have created is truly fantastic. The food is very good, the cozy atmosphere feels familiar and Louis made the experience complete. He knows what hospitality means and gives guests an unforgettable experience.

Went into the pub for some food yesterday but wasn't able to be served. It was 13:30. The lad who looked like the manager there was very rude. Told a young waitress to tell us we can't eat in the bar area. When we asked if there were any other available tables she went and served someone else. We then asked the 'manager' about a table for 7, he again ignored us. At this point we turned around and went to the Pendle Inn. We told the 'manager' we won't be bothering eating there , he just said, 'alright darling' to my mother in law. Basically, an unwelcoming experience. The Pendle Inn was great by the way. Great food and service.

Cosy pub serving good pub food in a swift efficient way. We called by for a drink and had a few snacks while we were there. The decor was very trendy and sympathetic to the local area. Would recommend.

Felt so un welcoming walking in to this place people gave some many dirty looks walking, what cause three brown and two white people walk, well we was deciding what to do sit in or sit outside. This staff member which looked like some what manager looking figure, kept asking have you been seen to, are you just having drinks but tone of voice which didn't want us there. Then in the back ground got some stuck up staff member which was giving grive to the chef, while she was waiting she was tapping her fingers which is so rude.

Looks very impressive, unfortunately we where booked into another location for food, so we didn't have a chance to try the food. Will definitely go back.

Dropped in the day after Boxing Day for food and drink and although the place was really busy, the staff were absolutely fantastic- they never stopped! They were quick with everything and really attentive. The food was great and the pub was cosy. Well done.

·

Beautiful traditional style pub but not feeling stuffy. Staff are totally on point friendly very helpful and presentable. The food was amazing. Try the Aspen fries even if you are just there for drinks. You can see the attention to detail everywhere is great. Nice lay out to the place. Open spacious with out door seating. Nice toilets also. And the beat thing there is no phone signal in the lil valley that it sits in. So everyone there needs to talk to each other. You could ask for the WiFi code if you really need to have phone signal Offcourse. Highly recommended 👌🏽

Great place tucked away in a fantastic area for seasoned walkers and Sunday strollers alike. The food was excellent and gluten free diets are very well catered for. The breakfast was very hearty and would set you up for a day's walking nicely. It is a family and dog friendly pub with real fires and a cosy atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
