Just had a wonderful evening in the BAY HORSE and would like to thank all the staff both in front of house and those behind the scenes. We enjoyed a lovely meal and the service was 1st class with everything running like clockwork which was down to the great staff.Well done all and I we will recommend the BAY HORSE to everyone we know who will be visiting the area

Went for a family meal last week, the food was absolutely delicious, every one of use loved it. The service was perfect, staff were so very friendly & attentive, nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I enjoyed it so much we went back this weekend & it was equally as perfect. Definitely a gem of a place.

Thank you Adam and all your team for our private function today. The quality, quantity and presentation of the mixed hot/cold buffet was exceptional and you and your team helped make it stress free, as promised. We can't thank you enough and would like to wish you every success at The Bay Horse. We hope to return soon to your comfortable and welcoming pub. Pamela.

We had been pleased to find a pub offering a varied and interesting vegetarian menu in the area and were looking forward to the experience.Unfortunately, the evening did not live up to our expectations. Our visit was on a Sunday evening and the pub was busy. We had a short wait for our table having purchased drinks at the bar. When taken to our table we were simply given the main menu and had to chase the vegetarian menu. We were told a number of starters were not available. As it had no doubt been a busy Sunday service we both selected from the remaing options and went for the whipped Goats cheese and beetroot. For our mains we ordered a vegetarian Sunday Lunch and vegetarian pie. From ordering however things went downhill, the wait for the starter was ridiculous. Yet during this time we were asked at least twice whether we wanted further drinks. We questioned how long the starters would take as it was about 30 minutes from ordering. As we had heard nothing from the staff we decided that if the starters had not arrived an hour after our arrival we would leave. The starter arrived with a minute or two to spare. The starter itself was very pleasent, but it was difficult to understand why the delay. As I had a 2 hour 15minute journey home after the meal, when the plates were cleared we asked about further delays but again heard nothing from the waiting staff. After a further 20 minutes we decided that in the absence of any signs of our mains, that we would leave without them. What is worrying is that the table adjacent to us left in the absence of desert appearing in a reasonable time.Perhaps on another day things would be better, but the staff seemed to have no concerns that the level of service was unacceptable. It's likely that had we enjoyed our meal we would have been returning visitors but I am sorry to say we will not risk a repeat performance.

A very lucky random pick for lunch following a visit to Boundary Mill. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and the cask ale, food and service were flawless. Good price range on the menu and a vibrant atmosphere. First visit, won't be the last now saved to favorites.

First time visiting The Bay Horse, loved it. Bowland brewery ales 👍🍺. Salt and pepper wings were awesome, crispy coated and hot and juicy inside. Friendly staff. Lovely peaceful setting. Will visit again.

Had a few lovely takeaways from here during lockdown & popped by for a few drinks & a bite to eat since they've reopened outdoors. Fantastic service & the food has always been spot on! For those worried about feeling safe in these Covid times, they have their rules spot on; they've got table service in operation, a one way system & very well spaced tables across their 2 beer gardens (as well as heaters & a marquee for those not so sunny days!). Highly recommend!!!

Good pub grub and one of the best beer gardens you'll find anywhere! The fact that its a family run and community owned pub just makes it that little bit more enjoyable!

Incredible home made steak and ale pie and most delicious local sausages. Would travel again to eat here again! Incredibly friendly staff too. Very relaxed atmosphere.
