The Lounge Barrowford in Pendle

Came here for breakfast this morning, doors were wide open on the terrace as it was beautiful weather. I ordered eggs Benedict it was lovely! Best eggs Benedict I have had! Plated really nicely and tasted great. Will be returning for sure :-)

We had high hopes, but unfortunately left disappointed. The food was expensive, portions were small and the beer on tap was flat.Could be made so much better!!

Went in for a drink with friends. Very few people in but couldn't get served despite bringing it to their attention. Wasn't too happy with the attitude of the lady who appeared to be in chargeSaturday 7 May

Just went for a coffee with a friend, nice atmosphere and lovely helpful staff, hopefully go again and have something to eat soon

A warm welcome awaits you here day-long, but I popped in with a friend in the early evening for an afterwork coffee and scone...delightful. The lovely decor and friendly atmosphere is completed by a live wood burning stove which brings cosiness and homeliness to the contemporary interior. The staff were endlessly helpful; nothing was too much trouble. And the scone with cream and jam was one of the best I’ve had.

Such a shame about this place. Beautiful restaurant. We have eaten here before and the food was amazing, however, I booked a table last night and the menu has completely changed. There was only about 5 things on it, no tapas, no meat platters. I opted for the steak and chunky chips which was £20. The steak was ok but small and I was served fries instead of chunky chips. I mentioned it to the waitress and didn't even get an apology or the chips I asked for. My partner had the chargrill chicken which was also nice but very small portion size. The meal was £45 with drinks and we both left disappointed and still hungry. It's such a shame but a place is only as good as it's chef and kitchen staff and at the prices they are charging with such a small menu they really need to get the orders right. Unfortunately we will not be returning to eat here. So sad.

Staff were friendly enough but waiting over an hour for breakfast is not great, especially when the food arrives at different times and is lukewarm and mediocre. When we mentioned this to staff, there was no apology and they didn't seem fussed. Lovely decor and has potential, just a bit disappointed with the speed of service and quality of food

Had to wait a while for food, too much coating on Cajun chicken burger. Hoping this is a blip due to Xmas time and being very busy. Will give it another try in the new year. Staff very friendly though and very clean for dining.

Amazing food, hats off to the chef! The staff were fantastic, very friendly and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend the lounge to anyone. To quote my fiancee "I would die happy if this were to be my last meal"..... Yes, the food is that good! 12 out of 10
