Only had a quick pint. Bar lad was polite and helpful regarding the ales. As for the prices, well, I felt I was young again.. Been a while since I paid £2.10 for a pint 😁. Nice place too.

It's a Spoons, food was good, very reasonably priced. Service a bit hit and miss, think they where a man down. But you know what you get with a Spoons. Know Worries.

Good for cheap meals that are ideal for taking out a family and it not breaking the bank, drinks are reasonably priced also

I wasn't expecting anything special from my fish and chips or a glowing report about my friends burger. I was surprised though, it was pretty good and exceeded my expectation

Quick service. However tables weren't clean and most people had to ask to get the tabel cleaned. The food was average, I would avoid the mushrooms, mainly just water. The mix grill is good, and the garlic bread was covered in oil.

Lovely, welcoming staff who took time to have a chat. I'm out of my area and they were amazing. Plenty of customers eating or relaxing with a coffee. Well done!

We were a small group who went in last night. All was well until one of our group had a few too many and started singing. Next thing you know manager comes in, takes drink off her and bars us ALL from coming in again!! All for just a bit of singing... One minute later and SIX police officers come in and put in in handcuffs, luckily she managed to wriggle free. If this is how you treat your customers then don't expect them to come back again. We will be taking our custom elsewhere.

As with most Wetherspoons, 'The Wallace Hartley' serves a decent selection of soft and alcoholic drinks. As a real ale drinker, I like the fact that all Wetherspoons support real ales and usually have a wide selection of guest ales that come and go, and vary between their pubs. Prices are excellent and reasonable, as their usual reputation. Food is perfectly decent most of the time, and for what you pay, I have little complaints. The toilets in 'The Wallace Hartley' are upstairs, and once again, as per the usual standard of Wetherspoons, are clean, modern, and functional. All tops marks on these features. If you're local like me, then you'll probably know that the pub is named after a local man who was the band master on the ill-fated Titanic, and he went down with the ship, reputedly playing till the bitter end to help keep spirits up and alive despite many peoples (including his own) impending doom on that fateful voyage. There was some controversy surrounding his name being attached to a public house, since Wallace Hartley was a staunch non-drinker ('tea-totaller') of alcohol. Anyway, I think the idea was to pay respect to his name. The reason for 3* is because unfortunately some of the service here is poor. I waited at the bar, and the middle aged lady with the glasses and blonde (dyed) hair had zero customer service skills. No hello, or "What can I get for you", she looked at me with contempt and I felt awkward and uncomfortable. As a customer, I felt I was the one making all the effort and politeness. After ordering and having my ale poured, she didn't even say the amount. Quite literally there was no effort on her part to be polite or accomodating. So a big marks down here. I don't expect to be fawned over, quite the opposite. But basic communication, eye contact, and customer service is a given in my book, and she failed miserably.

Food and drink fine (better than expected for price if honest!) - shame about the other clientele ruining the outing for us and hence a low review score. Shame as food and drink we're fine!

Fast food, but good food... Politely served by lovely staff.. even smiling and says no probs when we had moved seats .. due to someone taking ours while at the bar... Lovely time spent on a rare grab a bite to eat together time.
