Oldest surviving cafe in Preston, with a deco styled interior. Coffee is ok but worth visiting for the malted coffee especiallyGood selection of cakes and cooked food served here is generally decent

Visited bruccianis after many years of being away from Preston. All I can say is I’m in awe of how much is still the same, the lovely decor and the wonderful Jackie who I believe has been there for a long time and still makes the best malted coffees. However, I was at dismay to some new faces who seem disinterested in being there, especially a woman in a grey cardigan behind the till who seemed exceptionally unhappy to be working. She made my visit feel unwelcomed and rushed, more interested in her mobile and barking orders at the young girls than taking my order. Overall the 2 star is for the coffee and the bacon barm which were delightful, hopefully the staff cheer up and take more pride in their customer service.

I always love stopping off for a bite to eat while shopping in Preston. The place was busy but we'll run and the staff were knowledgeable in what they had to do in keeping the tables clean and ready for the next customer

A theme park cafe guilded in gold. Having seen mixed reviews for Bruccianis our expectations were low, and yet, we were still disappointed. We ordered a flat white and a tea, both came in mugs. Yes - the tea with no pot! I have better quality at home. We asked for milk with the tea and upon this request a great slosh was poured in, leaving the mug an off-white shade. Perfect for baby's first brew perhaps? We then ordered eggs royale and avocado toast. The avocado toast came disassembled with feta and pumpkin seeds as pictured, meaning I had to assemble it myself, which, while no big deal, was a bit unexpected. The toast was sodden with butter, as though it had been bathed in butter for half and hour. Very salty. Not enough avocado for the dish. Very basic. Very plain. Very buttery. The eggs royale also lacked the finesse which this dish requires. Ultimately, it's not beans on toast. The plate was drowning in hollandaise. There were no real issues with the elements of this meal (eggs were only slightly over) and yet the composition was dire. While the food and drink were entirely undesirable, the least enjoyable part of our brunch was the ordering system and the amount of people walking around. There is a cantine-style tray system, where you order drinks, cakes and food with different servers, it ends up being quite confusing! You have to grab your own cutlery, all of which was dirty. All of this results in a lot of people stood up walking around, very chaotic! Furthermore, the music just does not suit the vibe and is very jarring compared to the beautiful interior - intensifying the chaotic energy. We realise this is a scathing review, however, Bruccianis is a very beautiful cafe, the decor is gorgeous and worth a visit just to see. Perhaps just order a water!

United we stand with the people of Preston. I visited the place on a Saturday morning. The eggs royal were really poor. The sauce and the eggs were so hard, so stiff, tasteless. Glued together! They would bounce off the floor. Just as tasteless as the coffee. The place, the people deserve much better. A review (my first ever) for a good cause. The city is wonderful.

Haven't been in here since i was a teen. Had spare time so i went in. Omg, what have i been missing. Hot beef sandwich was great but the lemon meringue was something else. I'd go back for that alone. Friendly staff. Very old worldy inside but nice. Decent prices too.

Tables and floors not clean and bin bags left in walkway. Staff didn't seem willing and motivated. Drab and ripped furnishings. Was given an opened bottle of orange juice. Food only alright. Very disappointed. Used to be so much better with more character and pazazz.

Rough as hell, tables, counter and floors dirty, staff rude, uninterested. When food comes out within 2 minutes of ordering it’s always a concern, cheap food and a lack of enthusiasm from the chefs with presentation etc, could do better my self and I work in retail. No thank you

A beautiful old glory proper cafe. I fell in love with the decor, huge chandelier, marble tables and leather chairs. Despite the old style, the place is Clean and well maintained. Helpful staff and family friendly. Food is good and prices are fair.

I've walked past this cafe on a number of occasions but have never been in because it looked like a potentially overpriced establishment full of people who thought quality was purely about price. How wrong I was! Brucciani's is a place of magic. As soon as you step through the door you are transported to a bygone era of quality and service, of positive working class virtues...real working class virtues that consider cleanliness, good food and fair pricing to be foundations to work from and to be proud of. A purely positive experience that sings of the real spirit of Preston.
