Empire Thai & Chinese Takeaway in Preston

Food arrived really quickly however I didnt like the taste of the food. It was plain minus the chilli and was oily. I didnt find the menu very detailed and I clearly just ordered some cabbage and basil noodles as nothing else was going on!I paid extra for king prawns but there wer only 3 in the soup and seemed less in the noodles too.

Hmm what to say... I think I will be honest like always and I have to say that this place it's definitely overpriced. You can get better food around in this price range. Inside decor just ok but nothing special. Thai dishes just average and I have never seen fine chopped lemon grass inside any dish in my life. Soup tastes like canned coconut milk .. and beef fried rice contains only few pieces of beef. It's not bad review.. just wake up call to maybe change things around? I will rate this place as average...

Randomly found this place whilst wandering around the town. Ordered a cup of Thai milk tea. Very authentic flavour 😍 Love it. It’s in a huge cup as well!

This was the best thai food I've had in so long, it was delicious! The quality of the food is great and they also give a very good size portion. I will definitely be coming back :)

I am not a takeaway food connoisseur, so I don't go out often. But I love good food that has a balanced flavour and great seasoning. I've been to Thai Royal several times and will be coming back, because their vegetables are full of colour (not overcooked), their sauces are very flavourful and seasoned well. Thai Royal gives justice to Thai food. Exceptional!

My favourite takeaway in Preston. I don't like spending much on food usually but with Thai Royal it's worth it. Packed full of vegetables so although it might not be as healthy as home cooking, it's definitely better for you than fast food.

Hard to believe what an absolute rip-off this place has become.A tenner for a low quality small box of fried rice with a handful of prawns? Ridiculous. You can get a much better version in a proper sit-down restaurant just down the road, at a lower price. Never again, don't know when they hiked prices so much, but surprised they're still in business.

Thought id try cause never had Thai food before, had the Pad Kee Mao with the mix meat, 9.65 altogether, but not worth it, very mushy noodles like lasagne sheet strips, and Asked for cutlery told its there but no cutlery, handy if u need a quick bite but wouldnt go again

It was my first time going to Thai Royal and Ivor was so friendly and nice. He made sure to help me out pick out a dish that I liked. He made my experience really nice and would definitely come back here.

Be very careful ordering from here if you have food allergies - not all of the ingredients are listed on their website! We had terrible service from this place - we ordered veg pad thai and it appeared to contain shredded chicken. Rang and politely asked they could check but the lady on the phone was rude and aggressive, then told us to bring our food down to the shop and hung up on us. When we went in she emptied our food on the counter and told us it was egg and not shredded chicken (despite not being listed as an ingredient, which it definitely should be, given it's an allergen) She then proceeded to shout at us that we were wrong leaving us completely confused and we still have no idea why she was so hostile. We ended up laughing at how aggressive she was! Won't be going back!
