Ginger Bistro in Preston

Usually great here and the starters were very good. Unfortunately, ordered the beef stroganoff which was so chewy we couldn't finish the meal. When we mentioned this we were told by the waitress "That's just the cut of the beef" as if that is to be expected. Sat here an hour later with indigestion. Put us off for future visits.

First visit, won’t be the last.Nice atmosphere, excellent food, great service at a sensible price.All round superb.We started with the Moroccan fish cake, main course I had the fish of the day in an excellent orange sauce, my wife had the meatballs.All highly recommended.

Enjoyed your meal, the food was excellent.I did feel the restaurant was a little crowded and would have felt safer if the tables were more spread out/they took a couple of tables out. Only 1 unisex toilet which led to quite a queue in a tight area, each again at thr moment didn't feel particularly safe. Would like to visit again when less busy.

Absolutely Brilliant. Walked in withy 2 year old son and were immediately made to feel right at home. The staff were excellent, tentative and friendly from the off. Never waited too long for a drink or our food. The food was brilliant & the Coffee was great. The kids burger was genuinely really tasty and the fries ate excellent quality. My Fried cammembert was perfect too with Cranberry sauce sided by an orange, pomegranate and peashoot salad! Would absolutely recommend especially if waiting for someone at an appointment at the Hospital. Did get very busy though so may need to book some times.

I was lucky they where able to fit us in at 5pm on Saturday. Food was good. We were in a rush but the service was fantastic. Will defiantly be heading back there with more time (and remembering to book in advance)

Nice friendly atmosphere definitely achieved the bistro effect with decor simply and clean . Food very good tasty presented well with generous portion sizes , my friend and I had the tagine which was really tasty melt in the mouth lamb perfused with spices , would highly recommend. Our friends tried the curry, chicken and beef bourgouignon although the beef was a little on the tough side she enjoyed the taste again very generous portions . Overall a lovely night with good service nothing too much trouble would highly recommend would give a score of 9 out of 10 .

The Ginger Bistro is honestly one of the nicest hidden gems I've been to! My friends and I visited for my early birthday, and we were greeted by John and James who were both so friendly, welcoming and funny. We felt extremely well looked after, and the food was amazing! You could tell everything was very freshly made. My night was made up when they brought out a complimentary brownie with a candle for my birthday, which was the sweetest surprise! We are already looking to rebook soon. Thank you for a lovely experience!

Visited in Aug 2021.Big breakfast was huge!Two eggs, two sausages, two hash browns, two pieces of bacon, black pudding, baked beans and toasts.Taste was good but be prepared to share. I did. ：)

Very clean. Staff very pleasant. Knowing that you wait a short while before meal is served, you can be sure it is freshly cooked.I opted for a small Bistro breakfast & really enjoyed it, no grease on plate!

The ginger bistro is a very British restaurant. It serves high quality British cuisine and the restaurant itself has a relaxed atmosphere to it with good background music. The staff are very friendly. The food itself is well presented but tastes okay. The food is also a little pricey. Overall a nice play to go to for lunch or breakfast but not very often.
