We used to enjoy this place. The food was always pretty decent for the price. However the last 3 times we have been weā€™ve been beyond disappointed. We go for the play area for the children. We went yesterday out food was cremated, the burgers were that over done we couldnā€™t bite past the coating. My son had the crown of burgers which is all honestly I wouldnā€™t of touched it either. Total waste of money.I asked for one option of the new summer menu of which I was then told we only have one option available on that menu.Weā€™ve spent many of years going to the place and held many of childrens birthday parties. Safe to say we wonā€™t be going again.

The crown of burgers is very good, but if I had anything negative to say is the wait time when it was very quiet was still a long wait for the food to come out, but still worth that wait as the food here is always good.

Avoid.Cold food, missing items, most puddings not available.Kids meal not edible ( over cooked or anaemic)Manager advised to go to asda to buy the pudding ingredients!!

Pulled off the motorway for fuel and spied this place so went in for some food. All day breakfast was OK but not the best. But reasonably priced, clean wash room facilities and friendly staff get the thumbs up. The 80 pence for a single slice of bread as toast, gets the thumbs down.

Excellent food and service, had the big plate breakfast and was lovely, highly recommended

The food was appalling, it was barely hot, and the steaks that we were served in some of the meals were inedible as they were mainly composed fat, and the others were like boot leather. Burgers were tasteless and comprised of a patty, buns and a measly singular piece of lettuce and a slice of tomato. Macaroni cheese was made with extremely cheap cheese and was also inedible. Plastic cheese slices on all of the burgers too. Chips were cold when they came out and the ā€˜toastedā€™ paniniā€™ had quite literally been shown to the grill and that was it. Disgusting for the price we paid.Went into the bathrooms too, 3 of them seemingly out of order and locked, not a problem, but it becomes a problem when there is only toilet paper in one of the cubicles and the rest of it was either soaking wet, covered in mud, all over the floors and in the sink. When a member of staff was alerted by a member of the party they did nothing about it and left it in the state it was in.Very disappointed. Expected more from a hungry horse as thought they were a reputable chain. Clearly not. Will not return.

We had a great time & the food was delicious. The staff were fantastic & the bar & tables were clean. The only disappointment was the toilets being in a poor unkempt condition.

Steak meal was very good but the fresh peas spoilt it. Tbh I think that they wasn't cook well and possibly microwaved.Fish and chips was a very big meal. The fish was massive

Great food and portion sizes!Couple items were out of stock on the menu but a lot of places are having issues at the moment.Friendly staff and quick service.

Breakfast ... very enjoyable....next door to the Ibis Preston North.Sunday dinner...best avoided....very dry....3 attempts to get any gravy...chicken hard and dry.We eat regular in a hungry horse establishment, Oystercatcher Penarth Marina, Ship in Barry & the 3 Elms in Whitchurch (Cardiff areas) all 5 star.
