Pizza Express in Preston

Called in for an early dinner and whilst we had booked a table there was plenty of space. The food was served quickly and was very tasty. My wife tried one of the under 600 calories pizzas and thought it was great and still substantial.

Rebecca made our visit so lovely. I don't think we've ever spent so much time in Pizza Express or spent quite so much between two of us! She was so polite and friendly, it really made our evening that she was such a sweetheart, and we felt so comfortable to stay and chat that we had three courses and a great time in between. The food was great as always, and quick, but polite, friendly and lovely staff like Rebecca really make the visit worth it! Thank you so much!!! <3

Visited last week and the service was terrible. The first time I've visited this particular one and it will be the last time. Upon arrival, the place was quiet and we were told quite rudely "we could sit down but we needed to leave within an hour and 10". I understand why and we've been told this before by other places but the manner which we were told was quite rude. We sat down and the waitress came by every 5 minutes. In the middle of us both eating, we were asked twice if she could take the plates while we had food in our mouths. Then again with a glass that I was in the middle of drinking! £50 for a meal and 2 drinks within an hour and the entire time we were there, we were clearly being rushed out the door.

I was disappointed at our party last night.3 of our large number were missed somehow and waited over 25minutes for their orders until the mistake was realised. This spoiled the arrangements- as well as making me worry that our friends would not enjoy the special occasion - as an elderly relative had to leave for her lift before we had all eaten. Rushing the time thatwe could light candles and sing! We gave feedback to our server. If you are booking I suggest pre order. It would be a good idea to offer pre order to large bookings such as ours. Although the waiters were pleasant the water jugs were empty, plates were not cleared quickly and not realising that 3 hadnt received food even asking"is everything all right" showed a lack of clarity on the role of service. Ensuring the orders are in and underway should be paramount. Plus timely clearing and dessert offering. And for customer comfort, rather than standing nearby, attending to water, and clearing shows good service. Issue/error with splitting the bill was a faff too. The guy was pleasant. The waitress seemed not to help much. I only want to feedback. Waiting on is hard work when done well. Food was enjoyed and kids liked seeing the kitchen from our upstairs spot.

Not sure about the new points scheme... Our waitress was lovely but unfortunately we had a wait for the food... think mainly due to all the take out orders....

definitely not recommend due to the service!!! The lady who served me there acted like there was a punishment !! Last Sunday I visited this place, reserving a table for two in advance, it was our first visit to this place. We wanted to order two desserts and something to drink, the blonde-haired waitress when she heard about it made a hard face and said "at this time?" (it was 8pm) I asked if it was a problem and she say no,but at the end of the day she only had 3 cakes left so I told the waitress we thanked for dessert and we would order a drink for now, we ordered two drinks and then the lady came again, after 3 minutes persistently asking if we want something to eat, I refused to say that for now we want to drink quietly, when the third time she came and asked insistently I felt bad, so I decided to ask for the bill, the waitress disgusted with my decision said that in the future we MUST order something,(well we want but you didn’t have dessert what we want to order..) otherwise she won't serve us, when I got the bill for our drinks I went to the bar and was ignored by her when I wanted to pay, not to mention that when I left I didn't even hear a stupid "goodbye", I usually tip the service but it was an inflection, I will definitely avoid it, first impression terrible, 2 stars just because the drinks were tasty.

I went last night for a colleagues leaving meal, I had high hopes from reading other reviews, however I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. As I cannot eat cheese, I ordered the ‘sloppy vegan’ pizza. However the ‘cheese’ tasted like rubber, the pizza base was as if I was eating a Dorito with tomato paste on it, and the quorn chicken was disgusting and kept falling off. There was hardly any fresh vegetables, such as a pitiful amount of peppers and a singular cherry tomato cut in half. For a small coke, it was £2.90! When I say the actual pizza base was dry and crunchy, I mean it. I literally chipped a tooth eating it.

Went at lunchtime with my daughter for her birthday. Traditional American Hot pizza the best I've had in a long time. Service very good. Prices pretty standard nowadays for this type of fare. Toilets very clean.
