Very long wait and unfortunately a long hair in one portion of fish and chips. They were nice but the hair was off putting to say the least

Massively overrated. Cannot understand why everyone raves about this place. It genuinely used to be brilliant, but not these days. Aside from anything else, the speed of service is ridiculous. No other fish and chip shop would get away with it. There’s no thought gone in to how to ‘process’ orders logically or to have food ready when ordered, leaving customers waiting outside in the cold / rain on every occasion.Add to all that, fish that tastes of soap (presumably been prepared on work surfaces that have been cleaned with something very strong) and cold chips on regular occasions, it really is baffling that people rave about it.There are far, far better fish and chip shops with far, far better service.If there was another option in Gt Ecc we’d never go near the place.

Excellent chippy. I'm especially a fan of the homemade steak pudding. Takeaway service is quick and runs alongside a well run café.

I had a fish from here and it was perfect. Cant fault it and the staff are polite and friendly.I'll always remember years ago when they wrapped fish and chips in news paper . If only they could bring that back.Other than that I'll definitely be back highly recommended
