Pie and chips was great. Also do decent gluten free options. Very reasonable prices. Good traditional pub!

Food not up to much. Thanks for your response Peter. You need to objectively review your Sunday roast and lasagne. You have a lovely pub with nice staff and you yourself come across well. Unfortunately the two meals i mentioned are well under par. The potatoes were virtually burned to a crisp, you only provided one small gravy boat for two roast dinners and the gravy was very thick, the other veg were plain and soggy. The lasagne only had one layer of pasta and was therefore more akin to a dish of Bolognese. I'm not out to make your life difficult Peter and i wish you every success so i will delete this review in a couple of days. But please get serious about your commitment to food quality. John

A lovely pub set in a beautiful village of Woodplumpton. Homemade food and excellent kept cask beer all year round.

First time i’ve eaten here and it won’t be the last for sure. An absolutely delicious homemade pie and chips, a perfect pint of Theakstons bitter, a cosy atmosphere plus a very warm welcome from landlord Pete and his staff made for a lovely early evening out. Would recommend without hesitation.
