Perfect stay from the lovely staff at reception, spotless comfy room to the 5 star food, the all inclusive package was brilliant, I cannot speak highly enough of the hotel and staff, I would highly recommend it to anyone, my husband had the best birthday..

Lovely place, in the countryside, out of the way of the hustle and bustle. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Just needs a spa like some of the other Lavender hotels. Definitely worth a visit.

We spent New Year's Eve here and have also had a really nice evening here prior to that. Honestly, the staff are just great. They are so professional and top of their game. They are also so friendly. I could happily make this place my second home if wasn't for the awful mask mandate.The staff work so hard and I we think it's completely unreasonable to expect people to wear them if it is not their choice.I know that some customers like to see staff wearing them, but come on... If you can find evidence that they help anybody, I'll eat my hat. I cannot see why staff should wear them while customers are not. I really think it's high time that businesses researched the current situation, opposed the ridiculous government guidelines and get back to normal.As much as we really love the staff here, we will not be returning for a while unless we hear that staff are free to choose whether they want to wear a piece of cloth over their beautiful faces.Freedom of choice for all.

We went for the offer 2 for £20. That is 2 courses for 2 people for £20. There were 4 starter and 4 main course choices. 2 had pate(good) and 2 fishcake, 1 said very good could taste the fish, other could only taste the mash. 2 had blade of beef also very good and 2 chicken breast, acceptable. All four of us sent the meals back as the potato was only aired. After that OK. Although the service between starter and main was ok, after the main was eaten plates were left at least 20 minutes before being cleared. We were not asked if we would like desert, waitress just cleared plates so I would say some training needed there. Overall I would say decent value but room for improvement all round.

We stayed at the Higher trapp Hotel for a wedding last week. It is a wonderful old hotel with far reaching views across the countryside. Ample parking too. The staff were very professional but approachable to, and did their best with all requests. The food and drink was awesome. The breakfast was absolutely great, to start the day. Our room was beautiful with a double 4 poster bed. If there was one thing that might need seeing to, that would be the hot water, just not really hot. Apart from that we really did enjoy the time there altogether.

Great wedding venue. The staff were fantastic. The organising was on cue. Food was delicious. Rooms tidy but deep cleaning required behind radiators, I dropped a hairclip and needed to retrieve it!The building itself is beautiful, an old stately house. Gardens are well kept. Plenty parking. Overall we had a great stay. Service for breakfast a bit slow. Some of the staff look very very young so in my opinion don't have a lot of experience but do have scope to learn a lot. Smile and be ahead of the game. Anticipate lots of tea and coffee drinking in the morning.... Maybe have 2 jugs of each so one can be used while other being filled!

Lovely hotel. Stayed here over Christmas with my pooch. Staff were all excellent and Alice is a real asset to this hotel on reception, made such a fuss of Bruce my Springer Spaniel. Breakfast was superb. Would highly recommend if your travelling with a pet. Well done Higher Trapp hotel.

I got married here on Thursday 9th Dec. And from the second we arrived each and every staff member were absolutely fantastic. Extremely welcoming helpful and just couldn't do enough for us. Rebecca, Alice, nick , Carl, Sheila and Darren just amazing. My day went as perfect as it could have very relaxed and all very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing and I can not wait to go back.I just can't thank the staff enough for making my day so perfect. I 100% chose the perfect venue and I would 100% recommend it to anyone.

Staff,friendly. Room in the little block away from the hotel, room was not clean had cobwebs, light switches were dirty considering covid not good. Room dated and cold. Food was average, staff did not seem to know who was doing what Breakfast was bland to say the least!. This was a treat from Mr brother and sister in law, so I did not mention some of the problems. Beautiful surroundings but there is a lot needs doing

This hotel has a lot of good features such as an amazing space and lovely grounds and views. The staff are all amazing and very helpful. It's the rooms that are controversial as some are not upto standard. In my view all the management has to do is buy a good Hoover to clean the floors and ask maintenance to address issues like mould on the bathroom sealant.By the way, the midweekl offer of dinner bed and breakfast, and all you can drink from 6pm-11pm is a great idea.
