Bowland Brewery in Ribble Valley

Great complex in an old mill. Loved the old machinery and steelwork. Had food ot was great, the real ale was lovely. Had a walk round the food Hall which had some really interesting food and drink! I'm going to give it a go and stay here soon to fully appreciate the site!

Previous experiences have been ok, but on this occasion I spent over 2 hours in the place and didn't get any food.So much time spent queueing, being ignored, and passed along.The succinct way to express my opinion is to say that there are so many good places to eat and drink in Clitherore, go to those places instead. There is no point running the risk of having an experience like mine.

Totally dead on a Saturday evening, last orders called at 10.30am.Still waited ages to be acknowledged at the bar to be served. Staff too busy replenishing fridges so they could close.Could be better with something going on, music etc... lacking atmosphere.

Our first visit here and excellent food, beers and ambiance! A great place to have a meal, drink and relax, we’ll be back!

The Bowland Brewery's tap room is the best in the North-West - the Hen Harrier on tap is nectar. Dog friendly as well.

Tues 22nd, late afternoon 5 of us went for a meal after visiting the Everyman. We hadn't been for a couple of years, really like the beer hall, the selection of drinks and the staff. Unfortunately the food was very poor, 3 had chicken with some bread coating that was very salty and over cooked, the fish was also overcooked. It wasn't inedible but was just poorly cooked. We might visit again for a drink but won't be eating there again.

Brilliant bar, great selection of beers, staff were efficient and friendly.

Firstly, the star rating is purely about the food in the beer hall. Secondly, the whole place is a fantastic set up and has been done so well. The beer hall is a sight to behold with top staff. Not a bitter/ale fan but whatever your taste, there is something for everyone, selection is huge. The farm shop is fab and we are going back to stay at the hotel at some point. Returning to the food, it was average I'm afraid, the sandwich wasn't great and the cheese and onion pie seemed microwaved...filling was divine but the pastry shouldn't be floppy, you can't get that in an oven ( point to note, i bought 3 of the same pies from the farm shop before eating and if they turn out like that, i will edit this review). Now, to the Chip and Gravy Chef, absolutely bang on...no complaints.

Went on Saturday to spend a gift token. The token had just expired but they were generous enough to honor it.Sadly missed out on food as unexpected good weather had made the place super busy.The knowledgeable bar staff were rushed off their feet but remained cheery helpful and polite.Easy to see why the place gets so busy.
