Family of 7 in for lunch today one of whom is coeliac so always challenging but catered for with a GF menu which is a total novelty and much appreciated. From 2 years old to 87 we all thoroughly enjoyed superb food cooked to perfection and served hot an absolute gem of a place. Staff above and beyond good this team make a tough job look easy whilst smiling. We have all had tough times but today was like stepping back 3 years.

A beautiful pub with lively friendly staff (one was singing a little to some songs playing lol). The food was top notch. My stepdaughter and I had goats cheese lollipops with beetroot to start and beef brisket with onion gravy baguette and a side salad for our lunch. There were a few guest ales on tap too. I have to reiterate the staff were fabulous. The food, even for a lunch was exceptional, soft beef, gorgeous gravy with plenty of onions. The toilets were spotless, with plenty of tables and 3 seating areas. Well worth a visit.

Garlic mushrooms was superb. Steak pudding for main course, couldn't finish it but it was really good. Others had roast beef which was enjoyed by all. Service was excellent

Wonderful country pub with a "proper" atmosphere and fantastic food. Really enjoyed our meal here last week - only one thing let it down, the miserable waitresses! Ask the girls to smile for goodness sake and to have a little social interaction with their guests - I know that they're young and that they probably don't really want to be serving the likes of me & my wife but just a hint of personality would go a long way!Seriously though, excellent food, thoroughly recommended.

Really good! Staff excellent, refreshing change to have such a good gluten free menu! Will definitely go again, food was really good and service was beyond expectations.

Booked in boxing day and brought Mum & Dad, second visit in as many months. We all thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic food and service here, especially the lamb Henry & lemon meringue mess.Called Sunday lunchtime a month or so ago, not been here for at least twenty years. The onion and cider soup was delicious. The roast beef dinner was very good, but the star of the show was the lamb Henry, probably the best that I have had for many years. The portion sizes are fantastic, (I have rather a hearty appetite). The service was exemplary.

Excellent food, superb service and absolutely fantastic staff and manager. We had a great afternoon and was slipped in, at short notice. Very appreciated. Also the food was really delicious and the portions huge! Well worth every penny. A geat little place. We will definitely be going back.

Our first visit here today, purely by chance, when we walked in we we're welcomed as if we we're regulars offered suitable seating even without a reservation. We both had Duck Pancakes to start and the the home made cheese pie for my wife and home made steak pudding for me.... and all i can say is it was so bloody good, we've booked a table in the restaurant for next week for us and our daughter & partner.Food, Service and Staff all deserve a 5* rating.Looking forward to next week.
