Brilliant "home cooked" food, lovely restaurant welcoming helpful service, I will definitely return.

Unexpected treat as my husband decided to take us out to lunch. What a little gem this place is, tucked away in a corner just by the railway bridge.Fabulous food, excellent service and beautiful surroundings and atmosphere. The Sunday lunch menu seemed expensive, £28 for 2 courses. However, you get what you pay for. The starter and main course were both delicious well presented and perfectly cooked. The meal was one of the most delicious meals I have eaten out in a long time.

It was one of the tastiest Sunday lunches I've ever had in a restaurant, even in london. It was a very generous portion with so many different veg dishes, but most importantly they were all cooked perfectly which is hard to find with roast dinners in restaurants. And the lamb and beef were so tender and cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself has a very homely feel and the owner is lovely.I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Lancashire, but in the mean time the hampers look like a great Christmas option.

Perfect venue , delicious food .Perfect for a celebration. Look forward to going again. Staff very attentive , you couldn't wish for more .

Went for Sunday lunch. Food excellent but shocked at the price. £20 for fish pie or roast chicken and £11 for a glass of wine seems over the top. I don't mind paying for good food but I don't like to be ripped off. Won't be going back to pay these extortionate prices.

Absolutely excellent. We both has 3 courses and all the elements were delicious and the staff were lovely. Their effort to keep diners and staff safe during Covid is outstanding. We were using vouchers purchased as a gift at Chrismas'19 and they froze the date on them to be used once they re-opened after lockdown. I don't usually write reviews but felt the experience was worth mentioning to others as we would highly recommend a visit.

We hadn't booked. Staff made us welcome and found a table. Clean and modern, warm and friendly. The food was amazing!! Our party of 4 ordered steak, duck, kedgeree and pork. Best quality and very tasty. Our plates were cleaned. We had room for more and we ordered bread and butter pudding and rice pudding.Highly recommended.Great wine list too. A hidden gem.

Celebrating a friends birthday with 9 girlfriends. Fantastic live music. Fabulous atmosphere. Fantastic service and food to die for!! Would highly recommend!! Thanks so much for a fantastic night to Breda x

Thanks Breda and Guy! we visited a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and had a delightful meal and a lovely time. The sea bass salad was particularly nice - (pictured) see you soon for brunch.
