Having gone for a drive round the Area, we had been up to Howden Clough garden centre and on the way back we stumbled across this place , it’s not overly sign posted as a restaurant so we just called on the off chance , glad we did , the Sun was peeking through the clouds so we decided to sit and have a drink and some lunch, even more glad we did, the sun came out and bathed the large patio we were dining on , the service was exceptional , the young chap in charge was really laid back and friendly, the food was excellent and the ambience on the Sun terrace at the front, with chilled out music playing through the speakers and peacocks wandering around amongst you , really gives the place a wonderfully chilled surreal feel, after lunch we walked around The immaculately kept landscaped chalet homes , , and then as we drove away we had to stop the car in the middle of the road because a wild deer was crossing, it just added to the magic of the whole place , I can’t compliment it highly enough

While I was sitting there, I told my Wife at least 5X how much I love to be here. Had a quality breakfast, enjoyed every bits of it. Definitely coming back as soon as. Very welcoming & helpful staff.

I had heard good things about this place and enjoyed the opportunity to visit. A warm. pleasant welcome despite being very busy and a nice ambiance to enjoy our tea, scone and chat.Unfortunately, the scone appeared to be toasted. It must have been an old one they decided to serve. Couldn't manage to eat the edges as they were so hard. What a shame!

Came for Breakfast, given the price I would say it is a very average cooked breakfast. The staff were really nice and friendly, good atmosphere and décor. The Bacon sausage and beans were good. But the eggs were overcooked and hard, the tomatoes were undercooked so still hard. The menu stated plum tomatoes but these looked and tasted like salad tomatoes. The hash brown was slightly under and pale and the mushrooms were missed off. When we asked they had ran out, but this should have been stated on ordering. I prefer my toast to be uncut as its harder to make a sandwich out of a triangle, and hiding the butter under hot food, first of all you don't realise it is there and then when you find it, it has all melted out of the packet and you are left with your breakfast sitting in melted butter. Slight style over substance.

Edit: March 2022:Still an excellent and incredibly friendly welcome. Still excellent food, quickly served in a very pleasant environment, with super-friendly staff.————After two failed attempts at 3pm food locally, we discovered this gem, serving until late in the afternoon. It’s a lovely cafe/restaurant at the centre of an upmarket caravan site, but open to the public. The welcome was second to none, friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious and served quickly. The menu is very wide ranging, from classic food to adventurous options, and reasonably priced. It’s all on one level, so there are no accessibility issues, although it’s quite large, it’s sectionalised so you feel it’s more intimate, and there are lots of windows so it feels airy and light. It’s certainly a place to go back to with more intention

Been here several times now as a couple and with friends. Lovely location, great menu and food, staff are exceptional and are attentive and efficient without being intrusive. Today we sat by the fire and had a bird's eye view of the open kitchen which runs like a well oiled machine. Love this place. Reserving a table is essential.

A really mixed experience to be honest. The dinner we had as a family on the Wednesday evening was fantastic, delicious and good value. 7 of us for drinks and dinner £130.Staff on both occasions where friendly helpful and kind. However the breakfast for our two children on the Friday morning was awful. Infact it was so bad that the waitress took off the £8.50 for a single burnt waffle with Bacon we were going to be charged for the Stack of Pancakes and bacon we ordered. When we queried the order we were informed the menu was wrong. That isn't really a good enough excuse. Can't fault the dinner, can't accept the breakfast.

Amazing service by Andrea and delicious breakfast. Even though being short staffed, all customers were looked after and made sure they had everything. Made my birthday breakfast special. We will be back and recommend it to everyone.
