Kong San Cantonese Restaurant & Takeaway in Ribble Valley

(Updated after regular patronage. Still 5 stars.)Delicious and good quality food from this small Cantonese takeaway. (Was a restaurant, moved to operating as takeaway only during Covid restrictions and has no plans to go back to dine-in.)Telephone orders, collect at the door.We generally order from vegan page of the menu (about time a couple more options were added on this page though).Vegetables are not overcooked; a good selection of veg with some regular/seasonal variation. Seasoned just right (spicier on request) and there is no sloppy sauce. Typical veg includes bean sprouts, cabbage, carrot, courgette, green beans, peppers, cauliflower, broccoli.Salt and pepper mushrooms are firm, tossed in seasoning with a little leaf, plenty of garlic and seasoning. Chips are perfectly cooked and similarly seasoned.

Ordered my usual meal to be picked up at a certain time got home was cold not even what I asked for chicken was so rubbery couldn't eat so wen I rang them to complain about wrong order they were not in the slightest interested or helpful and rude!!! Didn't even apologise will NOT be going back there ever!!!!!

Just had a fantastic takeaway meal from this lovely restaurant in Clitheroe, I ordered it on Friday afternoon just to make sure we wouldn’t miss out.We ordered 1/2 crispy duck with pancakes, our Son had salt and pepper mushrooms, my wife had salt and pepper chicken fillets and I had the salt and pepper King Prawns. A large bag of Prawn crackers, our Son had the Hot and Spicy special with salt and pepper chips and we had the Special meat curry with fried Rice. All the food was delicious. A young man brought it out to the car for us. Thank you, enjoy

Our first visit to Kong San.The telephone ordering was precise and straight forward.The collection was perfect and on time.We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal of crispy duck, salt and pepper king prawns, chicken sweet and sour and szechuan king prawns.The food was fresh, tasty and piping hot.I can see this becoming our favourite take away and we look forward to eating in soon.

Excellent take away, lovely food. Personally I prefer the new somewhat limited menu but it may not be to everyone's taste (they are very busy so I may be wrong!).The only drawback is that they won't deliver!!!

Have been looking for a good Cantonese takeaway for a while and I've definitely found it. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and pickup is seamless.Of all the ones I've tried, Kong San is by far the best!

Got a takeaway for the first time here this evening and everything was excellent. Salt & pepper chicken wings, king doo spare ribs, crispy duck, mince beef spring rolls, chicken & veg spring rolls, & crispy chili beef with fried rice. Every dish was perfectly cooked & excellent quality, a complementary starter was a nice touch thank you.Most efficient takeaway service given the current circumstances.We will be seeing you again in the near future, many thanks.

Our first time to Kong San and it won't be the last. Emma and I had a delicious meal served by very attentive and informed staff. The visit to the restaurant was on a busy Saturday night, the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. Once we arrived we were greeted and offered a drink and the menu. Emma is gluten intolerant so Jennifer went through the menu and explained what was available which was more than is normally offered in a Chinese restaurant. Throughout the meal we were looked after, never needing to wait for attention. The prices are very reasonable for food and drinks with parking outside the door too.

Popped in today on spec to order a take away. Place was rammed at 5:30 pm on a Saturday. Ordered sat n pepper spare ribs, chicken chow mein and crispy chilly beef. Told us it would be ready in 20 mins and it was. Food was superb. Will definitely be going back
