We stumbled across Maxwells enroute home . Soup was really tasty and warming . The Maxwells sandwich was a veritable mountain very tasty. Fresh squeezed orange juice was a 10/10 rounded off with a flat white. Good service friendly staff 👍

Staff are really friendly and helpful. I'm coeliac and there was delicious food for me, along with staff who clearly understand allergen issues and are keen to help. Would definitely recommend.

I Came here with my mum on a sunday. I got a toasted fruit slice and a frappucino and she got a cheese on ciabatta sandwich with a tea. The toast came out stone cold, and the frappe was nice although it could have been blended better. Also would have been nice to get a mocha frappucino but that wasn't available. My mum loved her food though. And the staff were very friendly.

An amazing place to eat, drink and watch the world go by. The location is amazing, just by the railway station in the centre of town. There is a stylish two level indoor area, a wonderful summer terrace on the roof and a street side service area akin to any cafe/bar you can find from Rome to Mexico. Being in Lancashire there are heaters to make everyone comfortable too.

Staff were very friendly & pleasant service. Food was reasonably priced. Unfortunately the food at the time wasn’t the best quality, the fries were swapped as they tasted greasy. The chicken sandwich wasn’t paid for as the chicken was rubbery, overcooked and had a lot of sinues(the bloody red chunky bits of lower quality Breast). The sausage and cheese sandwich was nice, maybe just a little less cheese, never thought I would complain about cheese but it’s the largest wedge I’ve ever seen. The drinks were reasonably priced. We did have an issue with the bill at the end, mainly due to us moving table, they rectified without question which was great service and handy to just get sorted right away. Staff service & understanding off issues was amazing, a little refinement and more care in preparation of food & would be a great place. Has not put me off and I will return to see what else the place has to offer &If it was just a blip, we’re all human at the end of the day!

Very friendly and helpful staff, particularly the red haired chap meeting and greeting you (Saturday). Lovely to sit outside under the canopy if sunny or inside if wet. Seating also available on the upstairs balcony. Good selection of snack type food ie. Brie, fig and red onion on ciabatta with balsamic vinegar and rocket dressing
