Good bacon and egg roll, but so missed the tearoom experience.

Buy your food (very limited range) and drink from a kiosk outside and take it inside. Hmmm. The food offered bore no resemblance to that advertised and the man running the stall was sarcastic and blunt. We won't be returning unless under new ownership. No comparison to the lovely cafe we experienced three or so years ago.

Just used the coffee stall at the back. Nice coffee, nice sausage rolls.

Super little cafe in the perfect place at the start or end of a great selection of walks, or as a stop off if touring by car. Beautiful spot opposite the river with outside seating too. We have used it for many years and always love returning.

Wonderful location over the breathtaking Trough of Bowland, you arrive at this very friendly café (takeaway only due to Covid at the moment) — what a nice mannered owner, this is really a delightful setting with minimal for light refreshments. Deserves your support.

Good brew and a top slice of cake to finish off a nice circular walk over Hodder Bank Fell

They advertise exceedingly good coffee. It used to be fine but now it is exceedingly miodcre coffee. In fact it tasted no different to a cup of bog standard nescafe. This used to be a grast little cafe, what's gone wrong?

I have put four stars due to the fact that they cannot as yet open the tea room, not till a later date, but they have a hut, serving a range of food and snacks, which is adequate, and there are some tables to sit on to have lunch, and there is seating by the river, this is a good spot for relaxation, with the river, and the many mallards, and being in the countryside, one can even carry on through the rest of the trough of Bowland, to Scorton and the a6, and home via m6, an excellent road trip.

Ordering the food and paying by card no receipt was given of the Card machine or the till I had to ask for a receipts to be told they cannot do it and was given a till receipt dated with the wrong date and time 19/01/20008 05:36 !! see attached; the food was terrible and tasteless; service was slow and we at some stage were given some one else food, the toilet was filthy not sure how they got the 5 star award stuck on the windows; I will never recommend or go again

This is a fab little cafe in a very pretty village by the side of the Dunsop river. Food was excellent, especially the pea and ham soup and the scones and sarnies. Service was quick and friendly too. Make sure you don't miss the flat and quick walk along the bridlepath which runs down the side of the cafe and cross the river a little further up before returning past the Forestry cottages. Smooth and suitable for the less able bodied including a ramp to access the bridge. It also works up an appetite for the food to come ;-)
