We stopped off for some lunch. The food and venue is lovely, but the young girls serving need some training to say the least. We sat waiting to order even though the waitress had walked past many times. We then had to ask for cutlery.Great food though.

Recent addition to the Robinson's Brewery "Individual Inns" which was why we chose it, based on our experiences another in the group. Didn't disappoint, with excellent pub food, very friendly staff and good service. Slightly let down by the room being very hot with no way to reduce the heat, even with both windows open, but to be fair staff did say they would address the issue.

Not too impressed. Went at dinner time. Β£15.95 for salmon which was very good and Β£11 for fish and chips, again tasty but smallish fish and only 16, yes 16, chips. Not great value for money, especially at a dinnertime. Be a while before we go back. Got to be better value out there.

Went for a drink after a walk. Lovely setting, friendly staff. Nice to see beer selection back up after limited (understandably) choice during lockdown. Definitely go again. Didnt eat but was very popular early eve for a weds.

Wednesday Family Lunch. Staff very welcoming, shown to table quickly, drinks service very soon after. Food ordering was quick and arrived in good time. Staff were attentive and available if needed. A bonus is the hotel is dog friendly in some areas. PS. The food was delicious!!

We had a wonderful family get together at the Spread Eagle this weekend. The atmosphere is comforting, warm and lovely and even though we were a large group we felt so welcome. Our food was outstanding, both in flavour and presentation - please never take the Yorkshire pudding and chicken parfait off the menu! Plenty of GF options available too which was excellent for our family. We will certainly be making the journey again soon.

A lovely ambience, with open fires and candle light, in a great location. The food and drink consistently good quality and excellent value for money. The staff team and management are always warm, chatty friendly and attentive. We have had meals on several occasions aswel as overnight stay in one of the beautiful room.I would highly recommend the Spread Eagle at Sawley.

We went for the fish and chips for Β£7 that they do on a Wednesday. Β£3 extra for jam roly poly and custard too. With good thick slices of bread and butter washed down with ale and cups of tea this fine establishment will definitely get further visits from me. My google maps told me it was seven years since I last went and I had a word with myself over why I'd waited so long to go back. Excellent stuff and great service too

What a great experience at the Spread Eagle Inn at Sawley. The room and food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive especially the breakfast team. The breakfast was a great start of the day especially if you are going for a walk in the beautiful surrounding area.Me and the Mrs will be returning. Great value long weekend break
