As a solo diner I was ushered I to an empty room and left for more than an hour I tried to make a complaint with the manager but was given little reasurance I would be treated any different in the future. Never again.

Plenty of bar staff, went on 25th November Xmas extravaganza, dj on he was good, only downside a small bottle of processco was well over £6, when you consider tap and vent for the same drink was just over £3.....

My 2 friends, my dog and I had a meal here for my friends birthday. What a lovely experience. The restaurant is clean, warm and has plenty of space so felt adequately relaxed throughout. The balcony at the back of the place offers plenty of outdoor seating with stunning views of the ribble valley. The food was of excellent quality, the portions were plenty to fill us all. The steak was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful as did the accompanying vegetables, it was certainly fresh produce. All this gave to the perfect evening for us, made more so by the not overly attentive, friendly staff.Thank you to the chef and team. I will be calling again when I visit Longridge again..

What an amazing place, we just walked in on the off chance of a table for 2, The Dog Inn had been recommended to us and we weren't disappointed. Its beautiful stylish interior was very welcoming as were the front of house team. They were very attentive, efficient and polite. The menu was very varied and lots of options to choose from. The wine menu was reasonably priced too.The Gunpowder Chicken and cauliflower florets with curried mayo dip was to die for, what a tingling tasty combination, well done to the chef who made it, I am coming back for more!. The Slow Braised Pork with cider gravy was mouthwatering, it was so moist and well presented with creamy mashed potato, parsnip and cauliflower puree. My description doesn't do it justice!!Alex was a delight to meet, it is very obvious he wants his customers to enjoy the experience of The Dog Inn and goes out of his way and takes a genuine interest in talking to his customers, a refreshing change for sure. I would highly recommend trying this place, we can't wait to come back for more.Angela and Brian from Wigan

Great pub we found on the way back from a walk on the beech. Beautifully restored building with great historical details far away from a themed pub. Dog friendly too. Sadly special dish I fancied had sold out but that meant I had my second choice of fish and chips. Glad I went for the small- still a great portion with delicious flaky fish in a light, crispy batter. Would definitely return and hopefully have a look round the village next time. Good job it's not more local !! 😂
