Good food and a great place to sit outside in the sunshine. Definitely missing some decent ale and craft beer though. Can’t believe they don’t offer this in today’s market!

Lovely food. But soft drinks are very expensive. Had a pint of lemonade and a dash of cordial £3.60 will have water and cordial next time was the driver.

We waited for over 30 mins for a drinks and then a food order. We were sat outside, even though they said we could eat they did seem a bit disorganised. Waitress was very rude to my friend at first, but then did apologise saying they were busy. Once we received our food it was lovely. It was probably just because it was one of the first weekends open after lockdown. Maybe, give each waitress or waiter their own area to focus on. Would return again.

I Ordered the dry-aged ribeye which was fantastic. Unfortunately my partner is a vegetarian and the reduced menu meant all bar one of the vegetarian mains wasn't on the menu. The staff were very accommodating however and provided an alternative vegetarian platter which was reasonably priced, even if some of the elements were a little bland. Overall a great meal, just a shame more vegetarian options weren't included on the reduced menu.

Dined here after a recommendation for somewhere to try & we were appalled at the entire visit. When we arrived we stood waiting for around 5 min to be seen & seated for our booking before having to go to the barman & ask him (he then found the girl that was meant to be on the front desk) we were seated & our drinks order was taken... the drinks took 15minutes to arrive & only got them after asking about them when the waiter came to ask if we were ready to order our food. We got an apology with the drinks that apparently the Pepsi barrel had needed to be changed! It would have been better service to inform us of this without us having to ask about them 10 minutes after ordering them when we were ordering our food.We then had a 40 minute wait before our food arrived (it wasn't busy when we were there & also saw people that had arrived after us get their food before us!?) The table behind us also had to ask over their deserts as they had been waiting quite a while for them. The food standard left a lot to be desired, chicken skewers that were full of pieces of gristle & not chunks of chicken breast as you would expect & potatoes that were only part cooked. My "ultimate steak burger" was very dry & to be honest the lettuce taste was stronger than the burger... I've had tastier burgers out of the freezer/McDonald's/butty vans!We gave the deserts a try hoping they might redeem but no such luck... the crème brûlée was soggy instead of thick & creamy & the sticky toffee pudding was more like dough than a cake but not in a good way!Needless to say we won't be visiting here again, it is a nicely presented bar/restaurant but the service & food was terrible tonight.

I have in the past had good service and good food. My visit this time was unsuccessful due to the fact of were I was asked to sit. The worst place. When asked if I could be relocated I was told no all seats had been allocated. The place was not full and another seating area could have easily been found. Needless to say I shall not be revisiting even when the government discount is taken away. To be honest I didn't go just for the discount but because we have always enjoyed our meals.I should also say it does take us an hour to get there.

I dine here often as it’s a local of ours and always enjoy the experience. I have just left the building feeling highly disappointed and still hungry. Presentation and portion size was extremely poor tonight. Informed a member of staff as we were leaving to which we got an apology but that was it. I won’t be in a rush to return. Not sure if this has anything to do with the 50% off government scheme and portion sizes are reduced.

Food was really good. We had a party of 17 with kids and they gave us a great private area. Great cozy restaurant and friendly service. The best Yorkshire pudding I've had. Better than lawrys in Los Angeles.

Food was absolutely spot on really enjoyed it. The kitchen is visible from some areas and you can hear orders being called in and out very well organised. Service was good and the place is spotless.
