First visit in 30 years … great place, great staff, great food, great beer - glad they retained the stained glass features! Highly recommended.

One of the best pubs to stop of for a drink 🍸 or some really good food πŸ˜‹. Sat out front of pub having a good drink 🍸 in the sunshine 🌞, very enjoyable πŸ˜‰. The pub is full of charm and character and the staff are exceptional at what they do even when the pub gets busy they just seem to notch up another gear βš™ and carry on as if it was second nature. Brilliant to see, outstanding service πŸ‘.

Lovely pub, so cosy and friendly and the food was excellent, just what we wanted. Service was a little slow but it added to the relaxed atmosphere and we enjoyed sitting by the fire! We will be back :)

Ate here last week with wife, daughter and 88yr old Mother-in-Law.Rang ahead to check that they were "wheelchair friendly" and was told that they had ramps and would put us in an easily accessible location. On arrival we were greeted very warmly by the landlord and no effort was spared to make our visit successful. The food was fantastic - absolutely stuffed at the end of the meal. Can't praise this pub enough, their customer service was fantastic and the staff were lovely.A real proper English country pub - will definitely be returning for another fantastic meal.

Fantastic pub in a lovely village. Has an incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owner Ollie can't do enough to make your stay special. The food was delicious, and the rooms were a cut above.

We went in for a dinner booked ta 7pm. we got there early for a few pints of beer and sat in the room behind the bar. the room was full of very friendly locals and a huge German shepard names Daisy at right in the middle of the room. Had the pleasure of stepping over the friendly dog to a corner table and sipped on beer until our table was ready. Everyone was very curious of us and we had good chat. I ordered the pork sausage with mashed potatoes broccoli Rabe and gravy and it was very very delicious. The staff were super friendly and would go again. Only think that was a bit strange was the music choice in the room we ate our dinner was low volume but a funny mix of club mix dance music.

After a considerable drive around the area trying to find somewhere to eat on a very bleak January Sunday evening, we came across the Lower Buck. We were very warmly welcomed by the shift manager, a lovely young lady, who showed us to a cosy table for two by the fire. The pub felt immediately welcoming. We chose the Sunday roast, turkey for me, beef for the hubby and ordered a pint each of Timothy Taylor bitter shandy. We did not have to wait very long for our meal, which was piled high on our plate with carrots, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, parsnips and stuffing, not to mention a very generous helping of both beef and turkey, all smothered in gravy. The bill including drinks, came to Β£38. Excellent value for money for the warm welcome, the food and the atmosphere. The young lads waiting on were very helpful and pleasant. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

Lovely room just outside the pub, like a little lodge, all done up very nicely inside, lovely comfy bed, powerful shower, coffee machine, everything you could ask for, and just a stone's throw away from the other two hotels in Waddington - perfect for different members of a wedding party.Even though the kitchen was closed due to covid, the lady running the pub and reception was rushed off her feet but ever so polite and efficient.Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Thank you.
