The food was not bad in any way but vastly over priced. It's still just pub food at the end of the day but I feel they are trying to charge prices that are more in line with, shall we say, better establishments. Most dishes did not come with veg or chips/mash/boiled spuds. These were another £3.50 per portion. Was not a cheap night out!

The room was lovely & the breakfast was great too.HOWEVER upon checkout is where the issues started. We check our bank account and see they have taken TWO pre authorisations - yet still insist on taking a payment by card too. When we brought this up the staffs attitude changed very quickly and the lady was incredibly rude (in front of other guests)She made absolutely zero efforts to address the issue and told us it was our fault for using Booking.com?!?I suspect they are cancelling bookings on Booking.com to avoid paying their fees, but in this case they did it too slow, leaving us having to pay THREE times for one reservation.Regardless of whether that money will be returned in a weeks time or whenever, having to pay £345 for one night when it should’ve been £115 is an absolute joke.I would never stay here again after the way in which we were spoken to, and I would strongly recommend anyone who is thinking of staying here to just ring up directly. They are deliberately cheating the Booking.com system and leaving the guests to foot the bill - completely out of order for any hotel to practice this way.If the lady had tried to be helpful and rectify the issue then I wouldn’t have a problem; but being spoken to aggressively, being totally dismissed and being told it is our fault for using a website they advertise on is disgraceful.

Stayed here when our friends got married at Bashall Barn just down the road. What a fantastic place! The rooms we bad was beautiful and very comfy. The staff were so nice, inducing the owners who sat with us for a drink and a good chat. The breakfast was great and the menu was just right.Would highly recommend to anyone who is staying out that way or attending a wedding at Bashall Barn

Service was slow and hit and miss. Good selection of food in an old fashioned setting. Bill was alteredatleast twice always in a downward reduction luckily. Would definitely give them a go again.

Stayed in deluxe room lovely with views to match,Only disapointment was the posh pop up telly in bed very smart!but that smart none of staff could get it to work!!!We had done a heavy hike from early so we were ready to dine and unwind with tv!!didn't happen but we dined there and it that was lovely.Dissapointed on check out no apologies for losing our afternoon to staff in and out trying to fix tv!!

We had a fantastic 2 night stay. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome, keeping the bar & kitchen open for us on their night off just after Christmas. We had a delicious evening meal & the breakfast was very generous & perfectly cooked. Lovely comfy rooms & great location. The owner even kindly gave us a lift to a local wedding… highly recommend!

This place stands head and shoulders above many so called country inns. The decor, layout, staff, and of course the most incredible food makes this a must visit place. The passion shown from owners Jonathan and Fran in all aspects makes you feel welcome, comfy, and excited for the experience. Now, the steaks, I have a new number one, knocking the Argentinian Beef Restaurant in Estepona off the top spot was the charbroiled prime rib impeccably cooked by host Jonathan and served with THE best chips (not fries) and garnish. I even cleaned the bone, my god, the flavour and quality was outrageous.

Great place. Very old fashioned with a modern twist.Only stayed for one night. As I was at a wedding just down the road. This was perfect.Fran was very friendly, helpful and welcoming.Room was nice too. Very clean. Comfortable bed.I was in the rooftops. Which was a small but cozy bedroom with everything I needed.Bathroom was a wet room so I had be careful as the floor got slippery. Great shower though very powerful.Breakfast was delicious too. I had a full English minus the black pudding. With a fried egg.And some brown bread toast.Only downside to my stay was that the view of the surrounding countryside was partly blocked by the roof.Overall I throughly enjoyed my short stay at the Red Pump Inn rooftops bedroom.I would stay there again.R, Burley

Lovely place, great service and the food is excellent. We went for Sunday lunch and were able to take our dog with us. The area we were able to eat with our dog with us was lovely, warm and inviting. The roast lamb was exceptional and the desserts were to die for.

Food is pricey but of good quality. My dad had the sausages and mash and we were surprised to see he had been given 5 sausages! Only a few ales on tap, but the selection on offer was tasty
