Cosy pub with log fires, a focus on ingredients from 'local food heroes' and a children's menu.

What a delight! from the moment you entered the staff were welcoming and warm. The menu was a set seasonal chef menu, there was almost nothing on the menu (other than the lamb) I would have voluntarily ordered, I’m so glad that the menu was set as EVERYTHING was delicious. We had our children with us (11&13) normally pickie eaters, they tried each course as it was such a novelty for us, the children had smaller portions of the same, at half the price. Hannah, I assume the hostess/manager was knowledgeable, friendly and a credit to whoever employed her. The young Polish gent behind the bar also a credit. The atmosphere was warm, an adequate amount of formality (which suited the menu) but not stuffy or pretentious. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Quick edit, loved the pottery plates and dishes, artwork!

Great place and so nice to see it open again. It's not really a pub and not comfortably set up to pop in for a pint, chat and a nibble, but the dining experience and food is lovely. On the expensive side of things and I thought the dishes were nice if not a little "safe tasting". Outdoor area is ok.

First time at the new Three Fishes and it won't be the last. Lovely warm welcome from the staff, the furnishings and internal fittings are tastefully done and the seating is very comfortable. The food was exceptional with all our group agreed that it was the best they'd had in quite some time. Recommended.

We where lucky enough to book the private dining room for the 12th March 22, for my wife's surprise birthday party. From start to finish, with 3 months of planning right upto execution, I simply cant thank Jessica (Manager) enough for all her help. Patience and flexibility has made a most memorable occassion go perfectly, to create a long lasting memory, not only for my wife but our friends & family also. The whole team at this site are amazing, attentive, knowledgeable and most of all very friendly and helpful. There where many in our party whom have said they will return with their wider friendship circles following this fab evening.A bonus for my wife was meeting Nigel Howarth and for us all to have Nigel & his team cook for us. The food was amazing, our friends were delighted by the seasonal menu and flavours. I cant recommend eating here enough for a fabulous experience.

Food here was amazing, we had the taster menu and although some of it sounded rather interesting (Smoked Eel) it was really good the staff were outstanding and it was just a great experience!

I took my family to the three fishes tonight for their belated Xmas present. The whole evening was fantastic.Food was amazing. It was exciting as, being a set menu, we tried things we had not had before. All beautifully cooked and presented. All the staff were great and made you feel very special and valued customers.Nigel’s son was particularly worthy of note as he made you feel so comfortable and was very attentive.Lovely touches ending with Nigel coming around to each table to check everything had been ok and to thank everyone individually. Quite something for a chef of his calibre who is working all day and every day and must have been ready for bed. Will be recommending the Three Fishes to all and sundry.Thank you to all the staff, including those behind the scenes.Kath Robinson

Had a great lunch at the reopened 3 Fishes.Set menu, but just go and trust in the chef, superb!Lovely also that they allowed our well behaved dog to sit with us. The service and food was deservedly 5 🌟 .The scallop dish was made in heaven, divine 😇

Had a wonderful evening at the renovated and newly opened Three Fishes, the place now has a lot fresher, cosier vibe, its obvious that there has been a lot of time, thought and effort in its revamp. It had only been open 4 days when we visited and all the staff were lovely, attentive and very knowledgeable. The food that was cooked by Nigel Howarth (Michelin star chef) was exceptional. There is currently quite a limited seasonal menu but please don't be put off by this, its really worth the visit if you can get a table. Our table of six were all in agreement that the food was fabulous, especially the Hake and the Comiche pear pudding which was stunning.
