Went for afternoon tea which was a belated Christmas present. They were busy with a wedding but the food, service and staff were excellent.

5 star ***** what more can I say.Had a beautiful meal here. The staff so very friendly and very attentive throughout our visitWho whole place is just so beautiful. Will come again

·

Had a lovely Mother's Day afternoon tea,and we were given a lovely hand tied bouquet of spring flowers, such a lovely touch.

·

Beautiful place, beautiful fires, great staff, I enjoyed my sea bass and a nice glass of wine. Lovely coffee. Only comment would be on the menu. No salads and nothing spicy. I love squid and calamari but not braised. Maybe just me.The staff and kitchen were very obliging and did my friend a ceasar salad, minus anchovies. No problem as she does not like them. Everyone I know loves chedar cheese but non on the cheese board. Passed on that and had an extra coffee. Would recommend Mitton Hall ! Nice menu but needs a little work. Limited and therefore limits your visits. I don't mean to be negative a we enjoyed our visit.

Whilst a standard room is a little on the small side, they are very modern good excellent value for the the rate we were given (including a breakfast in the morning!) The hotel itself is stunning.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mitton Hall hotel. We booked in for 1 night only with an evening meal. The location is fantastic and the food was excellent. However we did feel a little bit rushed by the service, and when we had a walk around the grounds in the morning there were some areas which were less well kept and seemed untidy. The room we had described a view of the river but unfortunately is was blocked by a large conifer. Our time in the evening by the fire was lovely and we were treated to another guest playing the grand piano! Overall a good experience but we expected a little more.

If you want genuine Lancastrian hospitality, you will find it here. The staff care. As for the property, there are open fires that are stoked all year round, you’ll have local produce that is cooked abs presented delightfully and you will find that the rooms and suites are very comfortable. There is nothing not to like at Mitton Hall which is why we keep returning.

I went for a course, which was a great lovely course. We did however stay for a drink before we went home at was a 60-90 minute drive depending on traffic. The staff were friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced. Would have liked to try the food, but I can't comment on that. As for the site, the building and grounds are stunning.

We went for a friend's wedding. The place is stunning all decorated for Christmas. The breakfast was very good. The rooms are very nice and spotless.

Attended a beautiful wedding. Staff very friendly and helpful. Despite it being a cold blustery day that feeling was swept away with a huge fire burning near the entrance.Food was excellent. Planning to go back already...... ❤
