My wife our dog and I called in after a walk around the area for lunch. My wife had cod loin and I had a seafood platter. Absolutely amazing. My platter was something else. A full platter of seafood and a big portion of fish and chips, which was big enough on its own. You can see for yourself on the photo. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it was a lovely atmosphere.I would have liked to have had a beer, but I was driving.

Lovely village pub with excellent food and hospitality. Dog friendly and ample parking to rear of pub. Staff friendly and helpful. As with most pub/restaurants at the moment prices can seem expensive... but is this the new normal?? Would highly recommend.

We have had a super time, the food was excellent and the staff friendly and attentive. To the chef who cooked the special scallop starter - bravo! The steak steak sandwich and peppercorn sauce delicious. A great restaurant, I highly recommend it. Nicola

Came here for Sunday lunch yesterday. Can't praise it highly enough. The food was exceptional and the service was brilliant, in particular the gentleman who I assume is the manager. He made such a fuss of our 3 year old and nothing was too much trouble. Really friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.

Had a lovely meal here last week with family. The lamb hot pot is to die for - as others have remarked.Staff lovely and were happy to wait for our son to arrive before we ordered.Would definitely recommend a meal here.

Nice location. Windows were clean and gave a good view to the first customers sat inside by said windows. Looked like a retired couple and looked like they were enjoying a meal, alas I was outside 'working'....

By far my favourite pub in the north west, food here is fantastic and never disappoints. Location is superb and service equally as great. The Lancashire hotpot served here is incredible and a must try. Lots of other delicious items on the menu too. 🙌🏻

We went to the Waddington Arms yesterday 2nd Feb 2022, 10 Adults, 3 Children under 7 and the Boxer Dog. We were made so welcome with treats for the dog and a lovely meal for the children. Lovely clean homely pub with extremely attentative staff.

Came here on the 2nd of Jan with my partner for a meal. We ordered the pie and fish and chips. When the meals came out, we were brought pie and sausage and mash. There was a mistake and the lady apologised for putting it through wrong. I asked if the fish hadn't been started could I please change my order. The lady said that wouldn't be a problem and would check with the kitchen and let me know. A different lady came back and said they are just about to start doing my fish and chips. I asked for a different meal and she said that it wouldn't be possible as it was already put through. I explained that the previous lady said she would check and come back to me. In the end though I did manage to get my order changed and I got a really nice beef roast dinner. My partner said his pie was very nice, although it was dry and expected gravy. We overheard someone on the table behind us complaining about there not being any gravy with his pie. He asked the lady server and she said that it would cost extra if he wanted gravy. He said he wouldn't want to pay extra as it should have come with gravy anyway. We thought the same. After we finished our meals, we really wanted to order dessert. We sat and waited for about 30 minutes but no one came to our table to take our plates or ask if we wanted dessert. In the end my partner had to approach the lady server and ask her if we could please order pudding. The mains and desserts were really nice. When we went upto the till to pay, we were expecting a small discount or a free drink because of the mistake earlier. We were waiting a long time for our food. We didn't get anything as a good will gesture as previous pubs have offered due to similar occurances. Overall, we did have a nice evening but we felt like there was lack of communication between staff and there could have been a higher level of customer service.
