Beach - Fayre & Square in Rochdale

Lovely location, friendly staff, loads of parking but if you want a drink or something to eat I'd go somewhere else. No draft drinks, the fridges are empty, mist of the menu isn't available, what was available took forever to come, when it did arrive the order was wrong and the chicken was raw?I can't end on a negative, it wasn't raining?

Great staff, lovely food, value for money, just wish the soft drinks were a little cheaper (£3 for a coke)

Utterly shocked that you couldn't provide a gluten free carvery when we visited today. We are regular customers and never had a issue with this before, even throughout the pandemic. You didn't even offer to speak to the chef to see if they could accommodate - meat, vegetables and potatoes are gluten free so I'm sure you could have provided something!!!

Absolutely shocking food. I know it’s cheap, so you can say, you get what you pay for but part of the chicken on the mixed grill was like jelly and was still raw. They said there’s no way it isn’t cooked because it was pre cooked before they got it but I but you can clearly see in the picture it isn’t cooked. I’m sure that if this wasn’t in a ideal location by the lake, they wouldn’t make much money.

Lovely place to have a bite to eat.We regularly pop in for a variety of meals which have always been lovely. We booked for this Saturday and this time had a mixed grill with my misses and daughter having burger which were spot on ,then followed up with a lovely dessert. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and make a comfortable visit .Well worth a walk around the lake then finish of with a great meal

good points.Absolutely lovely view staff really niceBad points THE FOODabsolutely rubbish foodOrdered a meal that cost £9.99 now I know that's not a lot of money but it was shocking my full plate come out chicken wings chicken on a skewer fries and onion rings with sweet chilli sauce and everything on my plate was the same colour.Waitress said was everything fine I said no why doesn't my meal look anything like the pitcher it's advertise with ? she said they have no control of that is down to head office I said if you had put out a pitcher of what you have served me at the side of what I've ordered there wasn't a chance I'd off ordered it, no flavour what so ever in the pitcher both the chicken wings and the skewer were obviously flavoured and looked delicious I paid 10 quid and all i ate was 3 onion rings absolutely shocking

Lovely, good prices, carvery was beautiful, they served you the meat or vegetarian option, and you served yourself the potatoes, veg, gravy etc... And 3 size plate prices, very impressed... Really enjoyed and loads of wine price points aswell... Definitely recommend if in the area.Area outside for kids, smoking area and views of lake...There was loads of fantastic offers for Xmas brekkie with santa, nye, jazz band etc... I'd love something similar in my area... But I came in train for a walk.

Lovely Ploughman's lunch today, enough for 2 to share.Ordered couple of side dishes but didn't necessarily need. Really good portion size. Very fresh ingredients and excellent carvery meat. Definitely good value for money, would recommend and definitely going to go again. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.

Visited today 14/08. Group of 8 as a family catch up.Great food and service, very generous portion sizes & speedy service. Used the Greeneking app which was easy to use & then just gave a list of things we wanted like 2 meals with no sauce and the fish lightly battered. Kitchen more than happy to accommodate this. The Carvery wrap I chose was absolutely delicious and a great sized meal.We sat down the bottom of the area overlooking the lake & the views are fantastic.Great atmosphere & lovely location. Would certainly book again.

Came for food, reasonably priced (not the drinks) Carvery left something to be desired but no bad. 4 stars because we got lied too, asked for sour cream sauce and was told there was none left but had just been served some and the table next to us was told there wasn’t any also but asked another member of staff and magiced us some sour sauce didn’t they! Anyhow decent place for food and nice in the sun!
