Chop Suey Bar in Rochdale

Absolutely Horrible!! I don’t know they can serve such horrible food, the salt n pepper fish had no fish in it. It was literally fried batter. I used to order this years ago and it was chunky juicy fish prices. But these were like dry prices of rocks. Majority of the pieces had no fish inside. Just pure batter. And the ones that had fish were so thin you could barley see it never mind taste. Disgraceful they can serve food like this. Disgusting!!

Personally I think rude service,it's like they're offended that you walk in and place an order , it's unfortunate we live in a society where you have to tolerate rudeness, or behaviour of that kind ,I been in this place twice and the service was exactly the same , as for food it's basic Chinese food nothing special nothing to bad ,

Really nice salt and pepper chips very crispy very nice chicken chow main best Chinese around.Don't like the gravy but everything else is perfect very helpful staff very polite.It's that nice I ordered again tonight ☺️

이 중국음식을 맛없다... Dry food is an understatement. My wife and I got chicken chow mein, I've never seen it so dry no sauce, no veg, and barely any chicken. Salt and pepper chicken went in the bin it was so hard and dry, the salt and pepper chips were stale, shriveled up and obviously left over from the day before, went straight in the bin... fried noodles weren't fried noodles they were more dried up stale chow mein noodles just without chicken. Straight in the bin. Nothing worse than a long day at work, you get food and it's that bad you have to reorder from somewhere else. My wife called in not long after they opened. If that's the quality of fresh I'd hate to order after 6 o'clock.

Food is good, service is good. Not restaurant grade as you would expect but prices have gone up so expect qualify to reflect the prices which it sometimes does not

I've been coming here for a few years now and really enjoy the food. Chips well cooked, curry and gravy are very good, and the chicken fried rice is exactly how i like it. Prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are on the larger side (adding to the value for money.)They do not offer delivery service so if you want it delivered you will be paying a taxi fare ontop of your order price. That doesnt bother me personally as i always ring, place my order and drive to collect.Overall i would highly recommend Hamer Chop Suey Bar as a cracking little chinese takeaway.

Been a couple of time now. Portions are very ample and tasty. Staff are really nice and friendly. My new local.

Only call to rochdale once in a while now and if we stay for tea I go here best satay ever!! Well.. i cant fault anything iv ever tried from here.. clean tidy friendly family based staff.. lived in Rochdale most of my life and still choose this asian chippy over all iv tryed over the years

Not been here for a while but I've never had a bad meal her I've known this place over 37 years. now the family that own it now may not appear to be the same but that's because it's over 10 years since I work in Rochdale so I've only called when passing occasionally and able to stop when there open of course .but if I lived locally to the place I'd probably use it more often ...the Chinese meals are good also ...So I suggest you just give it a try ...

This chippy has been going for ages. We used to travel from Kirkholt when I was a child to come here. And that was over 30 years ago. Melt in the mouth chips; juicy thick gravy; tasty curry etc. Try their chicken curry with fried rice it's amazing. Everything that I've tried from the take away menu is also excellent.
