Great pub, good choice of ales and the best bit is the food. We had a T Bone steak which was first class, and the ham baguette also excellent. A nice ride out and great views as well. We would recommend it with hesitation.

Real pub with real pub grub.Right near the walking areas so great to come into after a walk. We got lucky and got a table without booking, they were very accommodating to as many guests as they could but I would recommend booking.We had a rag pudding and a mixed gril. They don't skimp out on anything and everything was cooked well. The staff are also lovely. Plenty of tables inside and out the back (more picnic tables).

Just fabulous! Totally recommend this beautiful little gem! The food is top knotch, staff are welcoming and the views- just wow! Try their home made cheese and onion pie- been back twice in 2 days for this (I live in Cheshire) well worth the trip out x

It's an old pub in the middle of nowhere.The food is on the lower scale of average, the drinks are reasonably priced... But... It's a great place to meet prior to going on some of the amazing walks the area has to offer.Which can't be taken into account when rating.... Otherwise it would be an eleven.

Lovely home cooked food. Proper pub experience. Friendly attentive staff.free big car park. Nice views from pub and top of ashworth Valley, there are many walks in area if you're after a stroll or hike before or after.

This is definitely the Pub with a Hug! Just finished our Sunday dinner and I am absolutely in awe of the homemade food especially the sticky toffee pudding made by the chef Joanna 😋 delicious. All the staff are amazing too x

Lovely Sunday lunch, lamb was plentiful. Cheese pie, delicious, our waitress was very helpful, moved us to the best table, as we hadn't booked, they were busy. Great service, what more can you ask.

Booked a meal during the week for the family 5 adults and 2 children. We had a great time. On arrival There was a warm welcome both from the staff and a gorgeous roaring fire. The staff were so friendly and helpful and constantly checked we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Thank you

Started off a little iffy when they didn't have note of booking made online, but they did have space for us fortunately.Lovely, warm and homely. The staff were great - friendly and attentive. Lovely food and made a special effort with the kids.Will be back again soon 👍🏻👍🏻
