Springhill Hospice in Rochdale

The staff are very happy to help in any way they can even though they always seem very busy they are constantly trying to engage the residents in any way they can they play games with them and dance with those who are able they have even got a few chickens that they hatched from eggs and have done this in another effort to engage the residents the staff and residents enjoy watching and occasionally interacting with the chickens (the chickens are allowed out most mornings whilst staff clean the coop they are very friendly and are always looking for food)

My mother is currently experiencing end of life care here at Springhill Hospice. I can say that the care standard is on another level entirely, this is considering her whole 24 year battle with cancer and several hospice visits along the way. I've felt just as cared for as my mother has been, a listening ear when needed, my observations and opinions never dismissed.

My brother- in -law passed away recently at the hospice. The team at the hospice couldn't of been kinder to Paul , my sister and there family. I know paul and the family were happier to have him in the hospice knowing the wonderful care he would get. The hospice itself is just lovely.Thanks to all the staff

What a fantastic place, run by so many fantastic people.When I have problems with my health, I really hope the team @ Springhill will look after me. Can't understand though why they have to do so much fund raising to keep this hospice open. Surely the Government should cover all of the £3m a year running costs, rather than less than just 50%.I will continue to do my bit to support Springhill Hospice, whenever I can.

I couldn't be any more complimentary about the place. Never a good place to be per se, but all the staff made a very difficult period for my family as bearable as possible.
