"We are a family run business and in March 2022 we will be celebrating 21 years of The Cedar Tree. Going for strength to strength since we opened in 2001. We have won several awards, certificates and maintain fabulous reviews which keep us in the top 5 restaurants to eat on Tripadvisor. The secret to our success is keeping it personal . I run the restaurant and love my job , my husband is head chef and takes pride in producing fabulous fresh food , keeping produce local whenever we can . We employ a loyal hardworking team who all contribute to our achievements. We offer a menu of steaks, burgers, fish, pub classics and more. We have an amazing outside garden area which is very popular in the summer. We are also dog friendly. See you soon x"

As always, friendly service making you feel very welcome and top quality food. Nothing more to add, and looking forward to coming again.

Had a lovely meal at the Ceder Tree. Staff friendly however didnt like the fact that they add a service charge to the bill, that if you are disabled the steps to get in are hard to get up and that parking is not good in the evening.

(reviewed October 2021)A Rare 10/10 RestaurantA little bit 'out of the way' for some, but when you see the building, you just know the food is going to be special. And we were not disappointed at all - in fact, it surpassed our expectations. Before I start on the review may i take this moment to commend the courtesy and attentiveness shown by Emily who attended to us throughout our time there. This young Lady deserves a 10/10 of her own. Thank you.Drinks:White house wine, soda and ice, Lager.Starters:1. Homemade Farmhouse Pate (Liver, Chicken & Pork), Salad with Pomegranate seeds, Onion chutney, Toasted bread and butter.2. Soup of the day - Tandoori spiced Creamed Chicken soup with Parsnip and Apple, Toasted bread and butter. My partners eyes lit up when she tasted the pate, and when I sampled it I totally agreed with her.. it was absolutely superb, the very slight coarseness enhanced the flavour. the rest of the starter was devoured - with grace. The Soup of the day, I was informed, a new flavour being tried out for the first time that very day. I would simply say, keep it on the list as a regular. The Tandoori flavouring was not overdone and added 'that little something' that certainly got my attention and taste buds working nicely. A really pleasant surprise.Main Course:We both enjoy varieties of fish so settled for the Pan fried Sea Bass, chives and garlic butter. New potatoes slightly roasted.I will say this now. I have tasted Sea Bass Pan Fried, Steamed and Baked in a number of restaurants both in the UK, Europe and Asia.. and there is no doubt this was the best I have ever tasted. Both of us agreed - it was flavoursome, succulent, fell away beautifully and complimented everything that it was served with. Two clean plates were all that were left.Dessert:A good selection, but we both have a penchant for Salted Caramel ice cream (something my foodie partner got me hooked on to - thank you).Served in lovely sundae style glasses with a dusting of icing sugar(?) on the inside -a lovely touch. Needless to say, the glass dishes were emptied. The preparation, cooking and presentation could not be faultedWell Done - you all deserve those 5 stars.

Had a family get together to celebrate my husband Ian's 60th birthday. We all had a great time, buffet was delicious, staff really friendly and service was excellent. Thank you so much Rachel and team for making Ian's birthday such a memorable one.

We visited the Cedar Tree on the 21st March 2022. I was a little worried about going because of the steps I needn't have bothered their was a grab rail on the entrance and once inside was greeted by a lovely member of staff. The service was second to none and the proprietor Rachel made sure everything was in order. When I needed to visit the ladies room being disabled Rachel said let me make sure the toilet floor is safe and helped me to the toilets. Nothing at all was to much trouble. We definately will be back. Thank you to Rachel and all the staff. Oh by the way compliments to the chef food excellent.

We came here as a group of 6 for Sunday lunch. The host and staff were so attentive but didn't rush us when making our choices or when we had finished our meal. The menus were extensive with lots of choice and all the meals arrived piping hot with plenty of food. Special mention to the biscoff cheesecake that was absolutely delicious 😋

Excellent service, great outside space and comfortable inside seating which is spaced well. Homemade food and a variety of dishes to meet all your needs and tastes. I would advise booking as it's a popular place for the local community but walk-ins are also accommodated. Rachel is a highly visible owner manager and under her watchful eye there is a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Great choice of drinks too from great beers to freshly made cocktails. Well worth a visit
