Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff. I would recommend eating there I had the seabass and it was delicious.

Recommended to us so was really looking forward to trying it on a sunny day. Totally uderwhelmed with lunch, my partner ordered the prawn salad and I the halloumi salad.. The pleasant waiter returned after about 5 minutes to tell us there were no prawns so my partner decided to have the same as me. 'Leaf or loaf' meant just that halloumi with leaves, a mint dip and very little of anything else.On returning home my partner spent the remainder of this sunny afternoon on the loo and in bed, needless to say we won't be returning.

Tonight is the first time that I have visited this establishment and I can honestly say that I absolutely loved it.The service from entering to leaving is first class with everyone involved being exceptionally attentive without being intrusive. The food was sublime and very well presented.Compliments to the chef!Needless to say that this will not be my last visit to this establishment.Highly recommended.

Turned up on a Sunday afternoon at 5pm without a booking. Asked if they had a table, told anyone without reserved on it, found one in the bar area which was free. I was told we don't serve drinks in this area but what would you like?. Ordered a beer and asked for the menu. Refused because they were fully booked. Sorry I get this but if you can't make a small effort to fit 1 person in...Maybe you are turning away my 70th birthday party in June or a regular booking...

Excellent food and friendly staff. We had a lovely evening 😌

What a jewel of a place! Lovely, warm, cosy atmosphere with a warm welcome from everyone. A busy pub so booking is a must, the staff are all very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. An extensive Gin, Cocktail and wine list. But the food, the food! Oh my goodness, tremendous doesn't even do it justice. Highly recommended.

Not been here for 10 years and after my visit on 15.1.22 for my uncles 70th I’ve missed out!Had the black pudding starter with peppercorn sauce, I could’ve had 3 of them and left happy. The reading and presentation was more than I expected. Perfect. For the main I had a rag pudding with homemade chips. It’s no exaggeration to say for the price and quality we were stealing from the pub. Absolutely superb, the chef told us the secret of the chips and I’d never have them any other way.The only negative is that I live in the town and have not been here for 10 years! Going again in 2 weeks!Friendly, warm and all round enjoyable.

Fabulous!! Absolutely love it here. From the moment you walk in you are made to feel so welcome, the staff are great (Alex is exceptional) and the food is top notch. Perfect for any occasion.

Great food. Their brilliant corned beef hash sadly is no longer on the menu but their beef rag pudding is a tremendously good alternative.
