Lovely friendly place with plenty of seating and parking, although I can only review the facilities as I didn't have a drink, my colleagues did and the staff were great!

(23/4/2022) First time I’ve visited in a long time, the new land lord -lady are friendly/welcoming, lovely clean pub with well kept ale/lager and well manicured beer garden.

Very friendly staff they can't do enough for you they will even bring your drink to the table thank you great staff. But the temp manager is trying so hard to run this nice pub to the ground need new manager fast.Well its taken a while to respond to my feedback. But my reply is its not a case of liking someone its a case of getting a full time manager in giving them a chance to build the pub up even if you give the Temp a full manager job so the food can start & build the business up. You can't say that it's not going down the pub is empty now no where what used to be, good luck to who ever is in charge old or new.PSLook at your last few feedback not only me.

Booked a table for 6 adults and 2 children. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. A young lady showed me to my table. Ordering food was quick and easy. When the food arrived it was well presented and piping hot. I had the beef lasagna and my husband had the sirloin steak. We was both very pleased. Would definitely recommend. Warm and welcoming atmosphere 😊

The pub has great potential however I would not recommend visiting under current management. All hot beverages come out a cheap coffee machine using Pods. Even teas and chocolate. Lack of wine selection. Standard beer selection. Very poor food quality. Staff is inexperienced. It seems that it's run by a family. Edited: I never add to a review or explain everything in a detail however I just read the replies of the business on mine and on other not so favourable reviews and are shameful, misleading, utter lies. They do serve food and it's bad. our friends that returned the food didn't eat more than a bite that was enough to taste. I also tasted it. they also messed up our order and had to replace it. It was not a busy time. Not returning my food doesn't mean I am happy with it. The owner mentioned that there was a new chef in the kitchen. they also mentioned that they serve Sunday roast at 12. while waiting for my coffee, 2 customers walked in for the roast and they've been told that it would be ready in 2 hours. They are constantly out of stock on drinks and wines. Underaged staff behind the counter taking orders. And you don't call the coffee "Costa grade" just because the cheap super market pod is named Costa. Trying to discredit your customers is not the best practice when you run a business and certainly they won't give your business another chance that you so much want and need.

Sister in law booked a table for family birthday 13 people which included 2 children and a baby. The booking was for 17:00. The majority of the party turned up at 16:45. On arrival we could see there was a large birthday party in one corner,dj next to the door and buffet table kind of in the middle. The rest of pub was packed out with normal pub goers.I told the barmaid we were here for our table and she said give me a second and went to speak to two other ladies. After a brief discussion they pulled out the diary. I could tell from the looks on their faces they had forgot about us. They carried on talking then the barmaid said they were just clearing a table. Which was fine until they walked over to the buffet table and started moving the food. The table was clearly not big enough for all of us. It was right in the middle of the pub no room for the pram and not suitable for the two young children.I told the staff it wasn't big enough we would leave it.I don't think this is acceptable as we booked few days in advance. They could of phoned us and said they had double booked and we could have searched for some else. Being 17:00 on a Saturday night everywhere else was full so we had to cancel our plans.

Good sized beer garden with ample room to social distance - with Wainwright bitter being exceptional. Well done to the staff and good luck with the new venture. Will try some cheese and onion pie next time ✌️
