The Hornet, Hungry Horse in Rochdale

Fantastic service and meal all round. Food was hot 🔥 and decent portions. All staff were very professional and polite. Only downside was Teddy bear grab machines were not working and service at bar was slow at times but it was busy so under the circumstances understandable. Definitely visit again and recommend to anyone.

Friendly polite staff can't fault the team. Ordered full English breakfast.Nothing wrong with the food, it was cooked to a good standard. Ash browns wasn't to my liking because they had been deep fried and that's all I could taste when I was eating the ashbrown. My preferred choice for a full English breakfast would be Morrisons. More valuable for your money in comparison to each other 🙂

Nice comfy, spacious place Ordered the vegan pie , unfortunately due to a problem with stock this was off the menu along with a few of the other vegan/veggie meal's. The tikka tower meal I got... although much larger and a few pounds more...was delicious and I will definitely return and order again. Only two members of staff working so it was a long wait in the queue to place our order. The service given by both staff members was faultless though. The group I went with ordered burgers and said they were lovely. We will all go back. Huge parking space ,easy to get to , with lot's to do in close walking distance. Great value for money, decent pub grub I would recommend.

Ordered the mini mixed grill and the chicken tasted weird so asked to speak to someone and was advised that they receive it already cooked and they just warm it up, never heard anything like this before (doesn't take long to cook fresh chicken breasts). Got full refund but won't be eating there again.

After a two year break because of poor food we will try again in another two years.Presentation Nil.I am no chef but would have been embarrassed to serve that quality in my own house.Side salad limp leaves Chicken wings barely cookedChicken kebab appeared to be microwaved on a cold nan/ wrap.On on good point the wine El Mazo is only £5 a bottle on Wednesday.Sorry Hornet but!

First time here today pleastly surprised after reading the reviews. Big car park outside kids play frame. Pub is also nicely decorated inside and out ordered on the app food came quickly was hot and staff were friendly. The americano was huge good job guys will come again 👍

Went for Christmas dinner yesterday. Just want to give thanks to all staff who were on, the whole family had a great time. Food & drink was lovely & the atmosphere was great. Special thanks to the lovely girl & lad who looked after us all night, never managed to get their names but a lovely girl with glasses & a nice lad in a green shirt, gave our children presents and made us feel extremely welcome. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic pub! Often visit here with family. Great food with some great offers on meaning a family tea out is affordable. The staff are also really lovely. Looking forward to my next visit

The food and drinks could have been better. The bottled drinks was warm and the food was edible but nothing special. What ruined it for us was the group of travellers that was seated near us. Their children where running around, fighting with other children and bragging about it, punching the lights, climbing all over the seats, knocking on the kitchen doors and stood at our table watching us eat. Their parents didn't say a word to them and the staff just let them get away with it. We saw a couple of people move seats because of this but we had already ordered our food. Unfortunately we won't be going back.

Bought steak ale pie . looked good. lacked meat.sentvit back. but no one asked why ? I then bought a steak but left that as it was tough. is this why you payup front as from reading other complaints over food no one received a refund. all frozen microwaved food.
