Great range of beers, staff are friendly and helpful. Menu looks good, prices average but we have yet to try eating there.

Lovely food and drinks. Not overpriced. Great lunch deal sandwich and soup or sandwich and chips for £7.50. Young lad serving us was fantastic

Popped in on a Sunday for food. Friendly staff, good choice of food. My wife had a Sunday roast and I had fish and chips. Food was well presented and very, very tasty. It's not the cheapest place in the town centre, but in my opinion worth every penny. A large selection of beers, real ales, etc - I'll be back soon.

A great reform of an old post office building. Situated right in the middle of a great town that is in the process of being rejuvenated. Stunning views of a wonderful, historic town hall. The river Roach, now un-culverted providing a home for local wildlife. Could not wish for a nicer place 2 sit out in the Easter weekend sun & enjoy the fabulous choice of ales. A very homely, inviting & clean establishment. With amazingly friendly, courteous & professional staff. I will be visiting again.

Relaxed & friendly. Saturday night had Dj playing a real mix of classic music from across the ages. No undesirables, will definitely go back.

Great choice of beers to choose from and nice clean tidy bar.I sat outside which sadly meant a horrible plastic cup instead of a glass which kind of spoils the taste but understandable if they have issues with fighting and people dropping their glasses when drunk. Not the cheapest, you assume as it's in Rochdale Town Centre you wouldn't be paying the same price as you do to sit outside a trendy bar in Manchester City Centre but that aside a decent pub with some decent beers to choose from - I went for a pint of Peroni.

The food in this place is really very good. Both my wife and I had separate dishes. She had the steak, which was done to how she wanted it, and I had the bacon double burger which was also nice and juicy. We also had a sweet and ooh my word we had raspberry cheesecake with chocolate and praline and double cream. It is also reasonable priced and next we are going to try the breakfasts as we have heard good words about them.

·

Wonderful iconic venue with a wide range of real ale some of which they brew themselves. Excellent food served daily. Also houses a gin and cocktail lounge. Lovely friendly welcome by staff. One of our favourite venues in Rochdale.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at The Medicine Tap!Gorgeous rhubarb and ginger gin, sandwiches were hearty and really tasty. The selection of cakes was great - amazing carrot cake, super soft chocolate muffins.A really laid back atmosphere, not pretentious at all, and the whole feel of the place is lovely. We'll be back again soon, really really enjoyed it!
