The White Hart in Rochdale

As soon as I arrived the waitress gave me attitude. I was only trying to ask a question. Short lady short hair. Who proceeded to gossip to tables around me instead of working. Food was thrown on a plate. I left most of it and even left my wine because the atmosphere was not nice thanks to short gossip lady who was standing at the next table to me the entire time, in uniform whilst everyone else was running around cleaning and serving. First impressions really matter. I won't return.

Just had a Classic Mixed Grill and my partner had a Clucking Stack and it was absolutely spot on.Never had a mixed grill before and it was one of the nicest meals I've had in a long time. Will definitely be back again soon.

Easy to find, plenty of parking (input your reg on screen at side of the bar) and the restaurant accommodated an unusual request I made for having a non verbal autistic child. Environment was warm and friendly. Meal sizes was good for the price and all food and desserts came out at the same time. Steak was perfect too!! Hats off to the cook(s)! Only very slight drawbacks was wait time for the food and one item off the menu was unavailable but that was due to its popularity. I saw a few walk ins turned away. I think if the turn around time for the food could be improved just a little, you could accommodate these guys too, especially in the days of what must be ultra tight margins for you.

We walked out! It was our first visit and we had booked a table online, on arrival we were ignored by staff and I had to go and find one to ask where our table was. The table was sticky with residue from D10. On going to the bar to order we were told the starter of our choice (nachos) were sold out, there was a 40 minute wait on food when the pub was more than half empty and a gentleman at the bar was complaining that his meal had come out 30 minutes before his wife’s and that he had finished his by the time she got hers, his exact words were we might as well have come out to eat separately! That was enough for us and we left and went to Miller and Carter instead!

The great staff, the food, cleanliness and atmosphere. There are a few setbacks (i.eShort staffed and toilet seat not having been replaced in a long while - but the stsff happily step up to all challenges. And it shows. Nothing too much trouble.

We got to the White Hart and were led to our booked table. The new menu is amazing. So much choice. We ordered a sizzling chicken grill. Surf and turf steak. Gammon and sausage and mash. There was a 30 minute wait which we were pre warned about. When the meals arrived they were piping hot a d delicious. All plates were clean at end of meal. My chicken was so tender, tasty and juicy. We all had dessert. Again. Spot on!We have eaten here quite a few times and was well worth the drive from Wigan.

Went to the White Heart Pub at Heywood for some lunch on Monday 28th Feb well I cannot praise this pub enough the food was piping hot and was really lovely. The welcome when we got there was fab it’s the first time we have used this pub but I can say it’s going to be the top of my list when I’m looking for somewhere to eat out. First time here at Sunday lunch time. Good menu with plenty of choice. We went for the sizzle plates which were tasty and good value. A good thing is you can change the side dishes for chips, salad etc to customise your meal. Staff friendly and polite. Will definitely be visiting again.

Have come here a few times with my family as they have moved into this area , its a lovely pub ,food gorgeous and the staff were so helpful and polite nothing to much trouble , makes such a difference, try it you wont be dissapointed

Pub grub - we have been here a few times and the food is always great menu is very basic but that’s all you need and the desserts are always good! Nice indoor and outdoor seating they serve later than most so convenient too! Nicely done up inside with a crackling fire 🔥
