Nice food at a good price. Digital detox though, no phones etc. Would eat here again.

Extremely rude woman behind the bar, walked in on my phone and was immediately shouted at to ‘get out whilst on the phone’ not even crossed the threshold of the pub! The People who I was with didn’t even get greeted and made to feel unwelcome. Very unfriendly atmosphere and strongly suggest if your passing.. just pass!!

Excellent home cooked food at very reasonable prices - but take cash as cards not accepted. Also be aware - Sam Smiths pub so no mobile phones can be used inside!

Called in yesterday after a good walk. Was treated to a very welcoming host who served us good beers and beautiful food. Most recommended

Nice and clean managers freindly. But unfortunately you cannot take children or dogs in now. Such a shame.

Arrived at 16.35 on a Sunday afternoon to be told by a fairly surly landlord that they were no longer serving dinner. Strange for a pub that claims to serve 12-5pm on the sandwich board located directly outside. Drove up to Owd Betts - better view and much friendlier staff.

Landlady was extremely rude to us as soon as we walked in. The place was empty and you’d assume that with the current climate they would be glad of the business and at least attempt to be welcoming. They weren’t.We had originally planned to visit for lunch but decided against that after a full 15 minutes of being stared at by the landlady (complete with hands on hips). It’s a pretty derogatory way to be treated and definitely not something we wish to repeat. We left after finishing our drinks and will not return.

Classic British pub, decent pint and great food all at a reasonable price. This place is full of character and characters. The atmosphere is created by the staff and customers, no loud music or slot machines, just good old conversation. Always a plus for me when there is an open fire.

A classic pub rather than something over-engineered and hipster. Log fires in the winter, big open area by the bar to keep people mingling and plenty of well priced beers and other drinks on tap. Nice welcoming community feel. Didn't have food but saw a few bits come out of the kitchen and looked hearty with big portions. Will be back.
