Had a very pleasant family evening meal at the White House. There is so many different item on the menu to cater for all preferences. All my party thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Of course the magnificent views from the top of the moor made the whole trip very special .

Fantastic afternoon here, great walk around the reservoir, then into this lovely country pub to a really warm greeting from the very attentive staff. Food and ale was brilliant at a very reasonable price. What's not to love.

Visited for the first time yesterday after a lovely walk in the area.Where to start, despite how busy they were we were seated in minutes, drinks order taken right then, food order then taken. My partner had the steak pie & he cleaned the plate while I ordered the Burger which was delicious but couldn't finish as it was too much for me.I suggested a lady Burger might be best for small appetites. We will be back.ThanksThere's more than enough choice on the menu to bring us back again

We always receive a warm welcome at the Whitehouse. The food is great and plentiful, you definitely need a good appetite. Very reasonably priced making it an affordable treat. Would recommend.

Met up here for lunch after my mums funeral. They opened up early to let us in for coffee. Staff were really nice friendly and welcoming. The food was spot on and lots of choice. We all had different things and everyone enjoyed it. Coffee really good and lots of other drinks to choose from. Definitely a good place to go. Highly recommended

Sundays done right! A walk round the reservoir with the dogs then dinner at the White House!Warm, welcoming, child friendly and most importantly great food.Β£58 for 2 adults (main and dessert), a kids meal and 2 rounds of drinks! Absolutely smashing value for probably the best pub food for a hundred miles.Highly recommend recommend any of the lamb dishes though their specials board very rarely disappoints!

Great time great food and great service by friendly staff. A good variety of food and drink at the summit. The menu is very good to choose from but before placing the order saw the day special menus and choose one of the meals from it crab Thermador and it was a good choice. The dish sizes are designed for Lancashire abilities and if you are not from Lancashire or Yorkshire don't think you can finish it. But if there for a walk you need it. The weather at the top the cool wind and walking and climbing make appreciate the heavy dishes and maybe finish it with very nice fruit pie and caster or ice cream
