The lunch was good. I had the steak and mushroom pie which was very tasty. The vegetables with it were lovely and the chips were nicer than the last time I visited. I really wanted a sandwich but it worked out very expensive as chips 🍟 didn't seem to be included and cost £3.75.... So the sandwich would have worked out more expensive than the pie. Anyway I really enjoyed the pie.

Fabulous views, private car park if you can get on, the place is so popular, and rightly so, that you may struggle. Dog friendly. The food is excellent, staff welcoming and friendly. Real ales, wines, lagers, gins....excellent choices suitable for everyone. Take a walk around the lake and come in for a warm or a rest or if it's sunny sit outside and admire the view 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

(Gave me food poisoning)First of all this place does not deserve a 4 star rating food wise. The starters were good don’t get me wrong however the main courses were a massive let down. To start off with when my food arrived my Yorkshire pudding was squashed into frisbee like shape and was very tough, one of the waiters even said that it was appalling and shouldn’t of been brought out of the kitchen like that, if a waiter is saying that surely the chef should know not to send it out it’s common sense. In result of this i was brought out another Yorkshire pudding which turned out to be frozen in the middle and we soon found out that all of our Yorkshire puddings was frozen in the middle. When we told the waiter she said she would see what the problem was, she then came back and said the chef had run out of Yorkshire pudding so he decided to go upstairs and get some he already and and heat them up, surely it’s not that hard to heat up a Yorkshire pudding. Continuing to eat my meal it just wasn’t getting any better, my meat was over cooked and was very chewy l, my veg was still hard and my potatoes wasn’t cooked for long enough. Overall the Waiters are a 10/10 but in terms of the food 2/10 i could of easily of made the same food at home and it would of turned out better. Also desserts, were definitely not homemade store bought and microwaved , not to sure why the prices are that high but it definitely doesn’t reflect the quality of food. Ever since I was there two days ago I’ve had stomach cramps and can’t get off the toilet. 100% do not recommend. It’s only a popular place because of the lake, definitely wouldn’t survive in a less attractive location.

Was very busy and a large premise with only 2 staff members working front house and bar. My friend ordered chicken breast with wild mushroom in a creamy sauce which came with sauted potatoes' carrots and greens. It was a well displayed and generous portion which she enjoyed. I ordered the Thai green chicken curry which had a great flavour but lacked in ingredients. I had a few green beans in the sauce and generous portion of chicken pieces cooked perfect, presented well with a good portion of rice. I couldn't help but feel disappointed as the Thai green curry cost more but had little going on really and it became sickly with just jasmine rice and sauce. As it cost more than the chicken and mushroom dish, I would have expected an array of vegetables in with the sauce, even onions, as I have never had a Thai curry with just meat and sauce with paying £15

Lovely evening meal with the family of 6. The staff were friendly and helpful, all the served food was excellent, my tuna steak was cooked just about perfect. I didn't want a dessert and although not shown on the menu I asked, if possible, for cheese and biscuits, which they obliged without fuss or bother. Will go again when in the area.
